If we could give this 6 stars we would, as 5 is not enough! Lee and Vanessa are two awesome friends who manage to make you feel as if you too have been their friends forever. This adventurous evening began in the main square of Sorrento but quickly took us onto the back streets and Into some of the most fabulous restaurants-known only to the locals. The food and drinks didn’t stop all night as we wandered in and out of wonderful places with really fun people. Our group consisted of myself and my 3 adult children, 2 couples and a soloist, with Lee and Vanessa as our chaperones. By the end of the first place, we were all fast friends having a blast!! Do NOT, I repeat do NOT miss this adventure if you are on the Amalfi coast. I would suggest if you are not staying in Sorrento( our hotel was in Positano) to get to Sorrento earlier in the day and enjoy the beautiful town. There’s tons of upscale shopping, gift stores and great cafes to grab a coffee and for people watching. What a fabulous night!!!!!riverresident

We definitely recommend this wonderful food tour. My friends and I had a really fun, interesting and delicious evening with Vanessa and Lee. We were given the opportunity to sample authentic Italian food accompanied by excellent wine in places that I doubt we’d have otherwise found. The girls were such good company, we spent the time relaxed with easy companions who really know their stuff, have plenty of anecdotes and there was lots of laughter. Gormet Girls have a lovely relationship with the restaurants/chefs they’ve chosen and this meant we were warmly welcomed and made to feel like special guests. The tour is certainly good value and we’d love to come back just to do it all again. Thanks girls, you enhanced our Sorrento experience.erinrenee542

Lee and Vanessa take the guess work and group think out of your evening. There is nothing worse than wandering a round a town, (that does have some tourist traps), and having to make a decision on where to go to eat. There is nothing worse than wandering a round a town, (that does have some tourist traps), and having to make a decision on where to go to eat. I would strongly recommend you do this tour at the beginning of your stay. Taste test the different restaurants on the tour and then you can always go back to your favorites with confidence. So much to explore in so little time -- go solo, private or as a group -- can't recommend this tour more. Thank you Gourmet Girls for such an excellent evening out on the town!JRK1952

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience - I have done another food tour before in a different country but this was far far superior. I have been to Sorrento many times before - but Lee & Vanessa managed to take us to places we had never tried, that all felt very “local” and authentic. Food was excellent in all the locations and we had loads to drink - really enjoyed the wine tasting, great atmosphere in there. The tour was very relaxing - nothing rushed, all sat down so we could really chat with the other people on the tour & the “Gourmet Girls” who were excellent hosts - very knowledgeable about both the food and the area itself, as they have lived here for many years. One piece of advice - this is not a tour of samples and nibbles - go on an empty stomach, because this is proper food portions in all the locations.BarbaraD942

This was our first food tour so we really did not know what to expect but we were all blown away by the food, the wine, the hosts and the experience overall! Vanessa and Lee are absolutely delightful - we left feeling like we had spent the evening with old friends! It is obvious they both have a real passion and knowledge of Italian cuisine and the wines of the region. And the food was absolutely fabulous. Bring your appetite because the portions are large - no small bites here! This was one of our favorite experiences during our trip to the Amalfi coast. We highly recommend it!emmajaineconnolly

Do you know what a Courgette Flower is? I didn't either, and yet it may now be one of my favourite dishes in the world. That was just the first course in a fantastic food tour put on by Gourmet Girls, and I promise it isn't just the basil based cocktail making me write this (although it was delicious). Starting off in a family owned home-turned-restaurant, the walking tour experience introduced us to the cuisine typical of Sorrento and the surrounding area in the best of ways. Our hosts created a lovely atmosphere as the guests got to know each other over many plates of food, while also letting us into the Sorrentine food culture by explaining the background and the preparation that went into each delicious dish. Of course, the excellent selection of reds and whites we got to savour certainly helped generate such an environment! By the time we said goodbye to each other over a round of limoncello, we felt full, a little tipsy, and like we'd just had a lovely evening with old friends. Cannot recommend enough!
