This tour was absolutely exceptional. We were met by Vanessa and Lee on time at an easy to find location in Sorento with other like minded people who had also booked the tour. We were taken to three outstanding restaurants, all with a variation of different foods they specialised in and I can safely say it was some of, if not the best food I’ve ever tasted. The girls knowledge of the local cuisine was first class and they gave us a wonderful insight into all the dishes we tried. The wines were also stunning and complemented each dish perfectly. I can’t recommend the gourmet girls highly enough, will be back in a heartbeat next time we are here. If I could give an extra star, I would. Thank you so much

We were only in Sorrento for a few days so this was a great way to see different restaurants and try amazing local food and wine. Vanessa and Lee were fantastic hosts and we loved meeting the owners and hearing about their cooking. Very good night out with good company and laughter. The progressive dinner was definitely a highlight for our 25th anniversary trip! An intimate gathering of 6 plus our hosts, to 4 lovely restaurants. The food and wine was amazing and our hosts Vanessa and Lee were so fun and knowledgeable. They took pictures all along the way for us so we could fully enjoy the experience. We had a fantastic time on this colorful and tasty tour. The restaurants we visited were all family owned, the owners were friendly and enthusiastic about their delicious foods, we had fun talking and enjoying with the other guests in our group, it was a high point of our vacation in Sorrento. Vanessa and Lee do a great job of organizing and directing the group.

Highly recommend! Vanessa and Lee were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. We learned so much about their local culture and they were open to answering many questions regarding their experience living in Italy. We had been looking for an authentic Italy dining experience and this was it. We met local restaurant owners, ate amazing food and drinks and had the best time!

Last night I joined the Gourmet Girls Italy Bella Sorrento Sera Progressive Dinner Food and Wine Evening Tour and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. The tour not only tantalised our taste buds with incredible local cuisine but also introduced us to a delightful array of wines that perfectly complemented each dish. Amidst the sumptuous feasting, we found ourselves forging new friendships, all while sharing in the joyous atmosphere created by our wonderful hosts, Vanessa and Lee. Every bite was a revelation, every sip a delight, and every moment filled with laughter and merriment. We left with full hearts, full bellies, and unforgettable memories. I went on a food tour last night with the Gourmet Girls Sorrento Food & Wine Tours. What an absolutely fantastic evening excursion to do in Sorrento. Great value for money, beautiful food and a fun way to meet new people. As a solo traveller I highly recommend.

Myself and a friend joined the Gourmet Girls last night for the evening tour and what fun we had! I’ve lived in the south of Italy for many years but still managed to learn many new things about local food and wine all whilst having a lot of fun. The food we tried was fantastic and plentiful. I’m vegetarian and was diligently catered for and others had allergies which were taken very seriously and with care. I came to the evening knowing that we would have lots of fun but I was impressed with how knowledgeable and professional the gourmet girls were. They were really great hosts who shared their knowledge and life openly. They explained many things about local customs and family life. We were a small group and we all enjoyed ourselves. We made new friends and learnt new things whilst having a lot of laughs. A really great evening which I would recommend to anyone. Another really nice point is that the tour is based in the less touristic end of town. We visited places which are less well known to the every day visitor. Each place we visited was a family business and some are places which I am sure would have been undiscovered had we not joined the tour. Thank you so much Gourmet Girls for a really delicious evening!

Lee, our host, was charming and engaging with lots of local knowledge about the food, wine, people and history of Sorrento and Campania. We stopped at four different establishments for a series of great food and drink. We had antipasti/charcuterie, then pastas, then fantastic steak, dolce and then a night cap. These were places where Sorrento residents go - neighborhood places, not restaurants that focus on tourists. Through luck, we ended up being the only couple on the tour with Lee. So by the end of the night, it felt like a night out dining and chatting with an old friend, not a tour guide. Great night all around. Good idea to do early in your visit to Sorrento to get introduced to the town, people and food.

Bella Sorrento Sera tour with the GOURMET GIRLS. Highly, highly recommend this walking tour to Italian restaurants in a local neighborhood. The start of our tour was within a 10 minute walk from the main square. Our host, VANESSA, provided a history of the food in Sorrento. She was engaging and entertaining. Vanessa made us all feel so welcome to the neighborhood as did the proprietors of each restaurant. She takes you places you would never find without a local. We started our tour at 82 WINEBAR for wine tasting and small plates. This is a darling, small setting with lines down the street by the time we left. Our second stop was a family run eatery, MASTER HOSTS PIZZA AND PASTA, where the entire family works with pride. Their young children help serve. They were polite and so cute.Our main courses were served along with their local house wine which was delicious. The final stop was 4 EMME COFFEE & COCKTAIL. This delightful small establishment offered amazing martinis and amaretto coffee. Our small group of six was all girl friends from Ohio who have been friends for over 50 years. It was one of the highlights of our 10 day trip through Rome, Sorrento, Florence and the Amalfi Coast. The original tour was to be four restaurants but one was unexpectedly closed. It did not impact our evening as the second restaurant provided not only the main courses but the most delicious dessert.....thin pizza crust filled with Nutella and dusted with powdered sugar. Amazing!! We did not feel like we missed anything by not going to one of the restaurants. These tours are designed for small groups as the restaurants are small and quaint. Please consider this tour if you find yourselves in Sorrento. Ours was from 6-9 and was full of delicious food and good fun. Tell them the six crazy ladies from Ohio sent you!

This progressive, Sorrento local favorites, dinner experience truly surpassed our every expectation. From the very first tantalizing bite of the bruschetta, which was a perfect symphony of flavors, to the delectably rich Spaghetti adorned with tomato, capers, and olives, and so much more in between - and all paired with the perfect wine, each dish was a revelation. The steak was masterfully cooked, achieving that elusive balance of tenderness and flavor. A meatball with a truffle sauce left David closing his eyes and savoring every bite. Ending to tour with a refreshingly zesty lemon sorbet followed by a sophisticated coffee martini, sealing the meal with a touch of elegance. The communication and post dinner pictures were much appreciated!
