This was a great way to see the city. The two routes covered the entire area which can be done in about 2 days. We also did this in Athens and it was a great way to see a lot you cannot cover just walking. We had easy on and off pick up spots. Only recommendation is do not try to pick up the bus at Sagrada Familia if you are in a hurry as the line is the longest out of all the pickup spots and you do not always get right on; I would recommend walking to next pickup spot for next bus. Overall, this is a cheap, nice way to see the city. We loved the open air top- great weather to enjoy in May!We’ve used this service on a couple of breaks and as with them, this was excellent value. We’ve used this service on a couple of breaks and as with them, this was excellent value. There are two routes East and West starting at Placa de Catalunya (or any stop) which show you loads of interesting places while giving you the option to plan your day and explore some in more detail having got off to look. I booked the 48hr tickets on line while still in the UK and transactions were seamless. On day two we walked from our hotel to the Sagrada Familia (separate review) then got the bus ending up getting off to get upto Castell Montjuïc! A tip, for some reason we shunned the cable cars opting instead to walk! Trust me that is a walk and for a 64 year old with lumbar trouble, any beauty in the surroundings, to a degree, was lost!! But, the views are spectacular. We then walked ‘across’ the mountain to the Olympic stadium to get on the next bus. They run very regularly so you never have to wait long. Generally found the bus clean and crews friendly and were happy with the multilingual commentary over the supplied earpieces. All in all, apart from to and from the airport this was our only need in public transport. Highly recommended.Myself and my son had a wonderful experience. I will gladly share all what we saw and did with family and friends!
