The tour was fine, however Nexus was a huge disappointment. We had stayed at a resort with a Nexus representative, who had a desk in the lobby. However, because of the hours, rather than booking through that representative, we chose to do so online on the Nexus website. The morning of the tour, we were to be picked up from our resort at 9:30, however the transfer was no where to be found. I attempted to contact an agent through the live chat on the Nexus website, but the chat was constantly closed before an agent would answer. I then walked over to the Nexus desk at 9:45, where the representative told me that he would not help me cause I booked through the website instead of with him. I then walked back to the pickup area where I found another Nexus representative, who was unable to help because "he had just arrived from another hotel and had no idea what was going on". I then decided to make the long distance call to the Nexus phone support, where the agent simply told me there was traffic and that's why the transfer was late, but was unable to provide an update as to what time they would arrive. The transfer arrived at 10:15am, 45 minutes late. Upon arriving at the destination of the tour, we were then informed we would be charged $20 per person for transportation, despite it being explicitly included in the tour description provided by Nexus. As the tour is provided by a 3rd party provider, we had no recourse but to pay as we were not dealing directly with Nexus. The tour itself went well enough, other than being held there for an hour after completing the tour, waiting for the transfer back to our resort. Nexus listed the travel time as an hour, however it had taken nearly 2.5 hours after leaving the tour location to arrive back at our resort. For reference, it took less than 30 minutes to get there. Nexus takes no accountability for misrepresenting the tour, allowing customers to get strong armed into paying addition fees that they stated were included with their services. In addition, their in person representatives were disrespectful and unwilling to serve those that booked online with their agency. Steer clear and look elsewhere. The Zipline and ATV experience was amazing and then finshed off the tour in the Cenote which was also a good experience aswell. A friend and I had booked with Nexus tours through sunwing, our booking agent Julio and Sebastián did a wonderful job and were very informative. Highly recommend 👍.Went to Grand Riveria Princess in Mayan Riveria for the first time; also my first vacation since the pandemic so was pretty excited to go last minute with my friend. Went to Grand Riveria Princess in Mayan Riveria for the first time; also my first vacation since the pandemic so was pretty excited to go last minute with my friend. Neither of us wanted to spend a ton on excursions so attended this Nexxus tours meeting offered through Sunwing and ended up buying two packages which included a half day of swimming with sea turtles/cenote and Tulum/ATV/cenote with a zip line thrown in. The price the tour guide Jorge quoted us was totally reasonable, and we were quite surprised it was under $200 USD for both so we put it on my friend’s credit card right away for a total of $384.56 USD for both of us. We had an amazing time on the excursions; yes the pick up was late for both but absolutely wonderful experiences and memories … until my friend’s credit card statement came in after we had returned and they had charged us twice!!! Of course at the time of the excursion, the receipt printed was taken by the tour guide so we had no paper proof of what we had paid for and Nexxus Tours is being quiet about the whole thing. Months later, my friend is still getting the same response that “they are looking into it and to be patient” … fraud is fraud my friends, so this will be escalated considering that what they took from us was equivalent to almost $550 CDN which we never would have paid per person! Be wary of this company, if it sounds too good to be true, it normally is. We are still hopeful they’ll step up, do the right thing and refund us but not feeling optimistic right now :/This was my first time in Mexico. Seth Orozco was amazing in helping us get set up with transportation, choosing an excursion, and keeping us updated throughout the process. I highly recommend using Seth with Nexus to set up your travels and excursions. You won’t regret it!!!we arrived in cancun on a rainy week and had to cancel on a different excursion because of the weather. so thankful that angel was able to help us book this excursion for our big group of 34 people last minute and we were able to enjoy despite the rain.
