What to expect
Start the experience at The Greek Kitchen; it's a handy place to leave anything you don't want to carry to the market.
Head to Varvakios Agora, the central produce market in Athens, here you cook will take you on a shopping walk to pick up ingredients, meet some of the local traders and discover a few places you might not have already seen! It's not a tour of the market, but it's still an experience!
Back at The Greek Kitchen the hands-on experience will begin and you will be involved in the preparation of your dishes.
Your meal will be served with a serving of local organic wine and a shot of Greek digestive liquor.
End your time with us with a chance to relax, enjoy a drink with your food and let us take care of the dishes.
We are happy to cater to your dietary needs, please contact us using the messaging feature as soon as possible to let us know in advance as we can't do anything at the last minute.

I'd been very keen to take cooking class during my time in Athens but really did not anticipate the experience to be this lovely. The walk around the central market to pick up ingredients, learn about its history and the provenance of products was a joy in itself. We were a very small group of 4, the kitchen space is super nice and our teacher/chef was extremely friendly and approachable. The whole experience is flawless. The 5 classic dishes we learnt to make were full of flavour and the way we all got to chip in and contribute to making the dishes kept the class engaging. It's very relaxing, there's wine, good anecdotes about culinary traditions and of course the session finishes with that beautiful meal. Definitely a highlight of my trip.Friendly staff.. Great fun.. Interesting and delicious experience! Very well organised. Would definitely recommend.

Well worth the price! The market visit is educational and fun, which helped me want to visit on my own time. Antonia made this class so enjoyable! We made multiple dishes and got to talk with people from all over who were also doing the class. Everything is paid for in advanced so it was nice not having to worry about that. It was lovely getting out of my comfort zone
