This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Petra - Wadi Musa, Petra - Wadi Musa, Ma'an Governorate
Morning pick up from your hotel in Amman (we suggest you started at 7 or 8 in the morning) in a modern air-conditioned vehicle with a friendly and informed English speaking driver, drive south to Petra (drive time is 3 hours). Upon reaching Petra, you will have time to explore the city on your own beginning with a walk through the long and winding Siq, until you catch your first glimpse of the impressive and imposing treasury, and marvel at impossible architecture that is over 2000 years old. Continue through the Street of Facades, the Roman Theater, the Royal Tombs till you reach Qasr Al Bint at the end of the colonnaded street, you can either walk back to the gate to meet your driver for the voyage back, or spend some free time to relax or explore on your own before walking back to the gate for the drive back to Amman.

Sono partita con mio marito con una gita organizzata e devo dire organizzata benissimo dall'arrivo all'aeroporto fino al ritorno. Abbiamo visitato posti stupendi, penso che Petra sia un posto magico e dormire nel deserto e camminare sui cammelli sia stata un' esperienza unica. Stupendo tutto.

Per due giorni Abdullah si è preso cura di noi in modo impeccabile, abbiamo viaggiato su una berlina elegante e sempre perfettamente in ordine, con wifi disponibile on the road. Booked this tour through Tripadvisor and quickly received a confirmation email and voucher. Driver was not at the hotel at pickup time - however, I was able to easily contact them via phone and whatsapp using afterhours number. Driver was waiting at a different hotel with the same name and showed up within five minutes of me calling - had the best of intentions. I did this trip solo and the vehicle was a 4 door sedan - comfortable with AC. Driver was extremely friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable - he makes these trips almost daily. Picked up at hotel in Amman and took about 3 hours to get to Petra on the Desert Hwy with a couple stops for Turkish coffee and waters on the way. Plenty of places for trinkets and local wares as well. Very little traffic and the drive was smooth. Highway is in great shape. The places we stopped were very friendly and I had no issues shopping. Very little cell phone service between towns. Arrived at Petra around 10:30am. Driver dropped me off and gave me a cell phone to call him when I was heading out. Quick and easy access to enter. Not a lot of people at this time, but on the way out the placed was packed. Get there early as possible for better pics without it being full of people. You will be bombarded with locals offering you donkey and camel rides. They will tell you its included in your ticket, but they want a very handsome tip. I spent 4 hours (about 6 miles) exploring and a camel ride sounded pretty good to get out, but I wanted to push myself. Many people taking the camel ride out. A lot of soft sand, rocks, and plenty of climbing if you choose - prepare accordingly. Plenty of locals trying to sell you things the entire way - some can be good priced, but negotiate heavily and many of their prices will drop 75%. Tons of huts selling trinkets, but you have to hike out with it. Most of the things you can find in Amman as well for similar prices. The bigger shops take credit cards - but expect higher prices (12JOD for a tuna wrap and a beer). Many items being sold are made in India and China. Plenty of locals wanting to take you to the "Indiana Jones" view for a fee, but it's easily accessible yourself - it's to your right at the treasury in the corner and a quick climb. There is a second platform with great view and pics or the main platform is 1JOD to access, but you get a free cold water or tee with it and they will take your pic on carpets they have laid out. Plenty of places to buy cold beverages, food, and restrooms along the way as well. Everyone I encountered spoke English. No service in the Siq, so call the driver at the treasury before you enter. Overall great trip!
