Freddy was fantastic as our guide today. Could not have asked for a better day, considering we came in the off season. Plenty of animals, lunch was good and we were well looked after!

We would highly recommend Takims. Our guide Masatu was so knowledgeable and friendly- he was like a walking animal encyclopaedia! he put so much effort into making sure we saw the wildlife and it was magical. A highlight was being amongst elephants in Lake Manyara National Park- they were less than an arms length away! Masatu was also very ethically driven and did not harass any animals, which was something we found very important- we never wanted to intrude on the animals habitat. We saw rhinos in the Ngorongoro crater which will be a lifelong memory! We can't wait to go back someday. Our favourite lodge was the Ngorongoro farmhouse and the kati kati tented camp. We were looked after supremely well at all lodges and dietary requirements were catered for. Masatu had a great sense of humour, was an excellent and safe driver, and we loved learning some Swahili from him! Asante Sana Masatu! Salma, the manager met us at the lovely Arusha coffee lodge and was very friendly and welcoming. She also went out of her way to help us when the airport lost our baggage. The only thing we wouldn't do again was the visit to the Massai village because we weren't aware that we would be expected to buy items once there. (although this is not the fault of Takims!) Perfect! 5 stars!Visiting people in village and urban situation and short Safari Park visit . We were wonderfully looked after by our driver Ally from beginning to end

The trip was amazing from start to finish, everything was planned and organised, from the airport pick up to each national park visit and additonal suprises such as Oldupai Gorge. A special mentioned is deserved for Yusef - he was an excellent guide and really showed his birding and park knowledge - he also learnt us and some key Swahili phrases, which we enjoyed using throughout the trip! He was extremely patient when it came to photo opportunities and always was keen for us to see some of the best sightings we could find, we managed to see not only the big 5 but also Cheetahs - it was brilliant! Highly reccommend Takims Holidays!I went on a business trip to Arusha and then for a short safari to Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. It was a fantastic experience with very comfortable accommodation. As a bonus I got to see a large lion pride in the crater.

We went to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and stayed at Lemala Nayunkie Lodge. En route we stayed at Arusha Coffee Lodge which is a tourist attraction/resting point while on your way elsewhere in Tanzania. That lodge is a coffee farm and monkey sanctuary that also houses a really cool art workshop staffed by local residents with intellectual disabilities who create glassware and art for the hotels throughout Africa (available on Etsy too!)! Lemala Nayunkie was amazing!! The staff and lodging were 10/10, plus we saw elephants, baboons, antelope, and giraffes from our bed, deck, and private pool ! We went on all day or 4 hour game drives (you can choose all day or 1-2 drives a day) and saw lions, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, water buffalo, zebra, and ostrich in addition to everything we also saw from our room but within a stone's throw! We were sad to leave the Serengeti but went to Zanzibar Island and stayed at Xanadu Villas. Zanzibar is absolutely beautiful with the Maluuma cenote, white sand beaches, and spice plantation tours that show you why the food in Africa is so delicious and flavorful. Fun fact: most of the world's clove plant/spice comes from Zanzibar! In the Indian Ocean the tide comes in and goes out more dramatically than I've ever seen (Maine was close!) so you can explore tide pools and find a bunch of sea life later in the day. If you have an interest in seeing wildlife and the outdoors I can not suggest an Tanzanian safari enough!
