This is a delightful trip to Transylvania and I was impressed by the sights that Romania has to offer. My trip started from Bucharest, where Alex picked me up from my hotel. He is a really nice guy and his car is tidy and clean. I had many interesting conversations with him during the trip. Our first stop was at the Libearty Bear sanctuary, where it is possible to observe the largest population of brown bears in Europe. It is truly magnificent to look at these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat, but also thrilling as well as I have never been so close to an actual bear in my life. The whole area is beautiful and the location is spectacular, being close to the Carpathian Mountains. After, we went to Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle, since it was the residence of the notorious Vlad the Impaler. This medieval castle is truly imposing, a must for every history buff and gothic myths aficionados. We could sense at every step the eerie vibe from Bram Stoker's novel. At the end of our trip, we stop at a restaurant to eat and have a drink and enjoyed the conversation I had with Alex. After one day, I felt I discovered more about Romanian culture than I had in all my other days. I highly recommend this trip!!
