Allemaal dankzij Amori!Gosh where to begin... at the beginning I guess. Gosh where to begin... at the beginning I guess. From the moment I stepped out of the taxi at Amori oasis of ❤ I felt relaxed and welcome. The driver meet me at the airport, being my first time in Thailand and after a long hale flight it was just what I needed, no worries or stress 😁. The retreat itself is located a short distance (in my opinion) from the airport and the city centre, in a rural thai area surrounded by rice fields and temples in the distance. The meditation and yoga were out of this world. I've done guided meditation for the last two years so this helped me settle right into the mindful walking and meditation, even if I hadn't Amori takes the time to work with you. I've dipped in and out of yoga over the years, and again Amori took this on board and worked with me within my boundaries. I was lucky enough to have one on one for a few days, then joined by a variety of other guest. I enjoyed the Saturday chair yoga and meeting the local people who attended. The food Amori mother cooked was extremely delicious and tasty, the green thai curry my favourite 👍 you can taste the love. The accommodation was above anything I expected and I really did feel Amori bending over backwards (and literally) to help me , even with a trip to the local chemist to get my tummy sorted after the culture and time shifts. I cannot rate this experience high enough and I hope to return one day soon, namaste 🙏Before this retreat, I'd never meditated before so I was looking for an experience that allowed me to dip a toe into meditation + offered flow classes. Before this retreat, I'd never meditated before so I was looking for an experience that allowed me to dip a toe into meditation + offered flow classes. The retreat was a great way to incorporate a few days of R&R into a packed trip to Chiang Mai. Held right outside of the city in a pretty little farming village, the host and instructor Amori made the experience (from trip logistics to practice to meals) seamless and enjoyable. Her house/guest quarters/studio are set in a lovely zen garden. All of the meals are cooked by Amori's mother -- huge portions of homecooked food were the cherry on top of the retreat! Amori is a skilled instructor and adjusted her lessons to meet the needs of her guests. I received a good beginner's intro to meditation (exactly what I was looking for) through morning/evening "mindful walking" and seated meditation sessions, as well as flows that allowed me and the other students to easily modify based on past experience/how our bodies were feeling that day. Amori has methods to make yoga accessible for all body types/skill ranges, making for a great teacher. She was attentive as both a host and an instructor which made this a very relaxing and valuable learning experience for me.Thank goodness for TripAdvisor. Thank goodness for TripAdvisor. We attended a three day retreat at [email protected] following excellent reviews from TripAdvisor. My son and I experienced one to one tutorials with Amori. I have a number of health issues which were taken into account when I was partaking in yoga sessions. The meditation sessions were especially beneficial to my well being and I shall continue to maintain this type of holistic approach in my daily routine. Amori has years of experience in both yoga and meditation and this gave me confidence that my tutor was a skilled and professional guru. I would certainly recommend FlowYoga for the ultimate holistic retreat. Very delicious Thai meals cooked by Amori’s mom. Guests are very well fed :) Fantastic home stay style accommodation with your own bedroom and bathroom! Plenty of activities to do with reasonable free time. I stayed for 4 days and was not bored at all. What can I say about my Flow Yoga retreat? It was, without exaggeration, absolutely amazing. What can I say about my Flow Yoga retreat? It was, without exaggeration, absolutely amazing. I arrived not having done any significant yoga in maybe 2 and a half years? I had messaged Amori and she reassured me that it would be fine. I also have done some (but not much) meditation and again, it was no issue. When I arrived in Chiang Mai airport there was a driver to pick me up and deliver me to this oasis in Doi Saket - maybe 30 minutes from the airport. My stress and anxiety that I just carry around on a day to day basis immediately dropped when I arrived - and continued to drop as the week progresses. Oh yes, I extended my four day retreat as I couldn’t face going back to real life. I can tell you the very best thing is how thoughtful, kind and wonderful Amori is, as an adult we are rarely taken care of - but that is exactly how I felt, cared for. I was lucky enough to spend the first 5 days with her all to myself and she is constantly checking in during our activities and catering to my needs and preferences. She is an absolute gem and I feel a genuine friend now. Also she’s like a paparazzi with her camera so I have loads of photo memories - something that you don’t always get when traveling alone. The meditations were great, it’s kind of a personal thing, so I’ll leave it at that - I did however gain a wealth of knowledge and feel it’s a skill I will take back to my regular life. The yoga... I asked to be challenged on day 1 and I was - though Amori wisely suggested we take it easier when I was struggling, my body slightly sore from 2 yoga and 2 meditation classes per day. I am definitely not a yogi but my abilities were noticeably improved. The food, every single meal was delicious - Amori’s mother cooks with love and it is so apparent in her food. Meat eaters fear not, you will not feel that you’re missing anything. Every meal was a delight with loads of fresh fruit and healthy, plentiful meals - you won’t go hungry. I feel like this place is like boot camp for your whole self, it was amazing and there is no question in my mind that I will be back. It was such a wonderful experience and I can’t recommend it enough.
