I get it: Petra is amazing and a no-doubt item on any "wonders of the world" list. Similarly, Wadi Rum is well worth visiting. I therefore appreciate Tourist Israel getting me there safely and in comfort. So why the 3? Answer: Lots of wasted time and misleading timelines. For instance, the 2-day tour advertised 6-to-7 hours at Petra, which would allow time for both a 2-3 hour group tour + time to visit both the tombs of kings side trail and monastery. Reality? 3-1/2 hours in Petra, which is far too rushed to give it justice. You simply can't do a tour with the 2 highly worthy spurs. The website also said groups for Petra tours would be smaller than our half-bus-sized group (of 24). Nope. One guide. And what's with driving around Aqaba on double loops for no particular purpose, thus reducing Wadi Rum time by an hour-plus? I know I'm sounding very negative, but that's not the bottom line. Bottom line is it's hard to imagine doing this trip without a knowledgeable, safe, friendly staff and firm. Thank you for giving me Petra memories for a lifetime, Tourist Israel.First time in Jordan and first time using this tour company. The trip was well organised, friendly tour guide and had enough time to explore the sites and stopovers. We stayed at a hotel as it was winter and I thought the hotel and its dinner were great. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent organisation, very good guide, well informed, funny and entertaining! 2 Days is the "sweet spot" I would say. If you try to cramp everything into 1 day it becomes to much of travel back and forth to Petra/Eilat, leaving probably just enough time for Petra. With 1 additional day it's a much more relaxed itinerary. First day you cross the border, visit Akaba and enjoy Wadi Rum, while 2nd day you have a relaxed drive to Petra and enough time to visit the highlights before heading back to Eilat. With 1 additional day at Petra you could also do the Monastery and some other sites, but we think 2 days in total is sufficient unless you are really into the history of Petra and want to explore all sites and do lot of additional hiking.Actually we would give 3 1/2 stars, because we had some problems during our trip. Here is a quick overview (++ great; + okay; - could be improved; -- disappointing): ++ Petra itselfs: we really enjoyed being there and we are very happy decided to book a 2-day-trip, because it is really worth it....
Actually we would give 3 1/2 stars, because we had some problems during our trip. Here is a quick overview (++ great; + okay; - could be improved; -- disappointing): ++ Petra itselfs: we really enjoyed being there and we are very happy decided to book a 2-day-trip, because it is really worth it. ++ booking: very easy ++ communication during booking: had some questions before booking & got answers quickly -- pick-up: we were on time at the meeting point, but nobody was coming. After 30 Min we called the emergency number and then we had to wait another 45 Min until someone picked us up. They just forgot us. + transportation: nice, young guide, arrival at petra on time + guided tour: okay, informative - snack box: just kind of ‘old' fruits & vegetables -Transport to Eilat: we arrived late at 19:30 pm at the border (itinerary says 18:30) -- Transportation from Eilat to Tel Aviv: The driver drove insanely. Then we had to stop our ride to Tel Aviv because the bus broke down. We had to wait more than 90 Min for a new bus. Nobody informed us what is going on at no time. In the end, we arrived about 3-4 hours later as it was planned in TV. We know this could happen, but I wanted to make clear that we were very unhappy with the communication of the staff of Tourist Israel during this trip. + compensation: I told this situation to the support and asked for a refund of the transportation. Tourist Israel has responded to my request without aversion and we received the refund quickly. We went on a honeymoon trip to Wadi Rum and Petra - totally recommend the trip. The additional upgrade to the Chalets was worth it. The added on Boat & snorkeling ride was also worth it. Watch the scams at Petra (but these have nothing to do with Tourist Israel). Lamentable. Ah! Y ve preparando propinas por nada
