Wonderful! I'm 65 yr.old female and have limited mobility. I was able to rent a wheelchair and see the whole park. I purchased a 1yr membership because it is reciprocal at my local zoo. My friends took me day after Christmas. Very crowded, but very enjoyable.

The zoo is compact but it packs a lot into the small space. When we visited, many of the animals were active and it was good to see them in action. We visited because we had seen the zoo on TV, but it was not as big as we thought it would be from the programme. The biggest problem was that we visited during spring break. We arrived at 10.00, when the park had opened at 9.30 and all the parking spaces were taken. When we finally found one outside the zoo, we then had to queue for ages to buy tickets and the zoo was the only place that would not accept our pre-pay card. The place really wasn’t set up for the large numbers of visitors. There aren’t enough restrooms and getting food and drinks was almost impossible without waiting for ages. I’m sure that the zoo is actually great to visit in quieter times, but it really wasn’t prepared for big numbers of visitorsWe loved the orangutans. They were very active and funny. All the animals were so much fun. The giraffes were so elegant. The staff was so friendly. The Photo Booth where we purchased our " green screen " photos, staff were so helpful , patient and friendly. A very nice young man helped me. ( I d...

Zoo Tampa was a fabulous experience for Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy and three children ages 6 to 13. We were lucky to visit on Easter Day when the zoo was basically not crowded which was a pleasure. Each exhibit was awe inspiring and our family thoroughly enjoyed every minute there. We spent about six hours touring, having lunch and riding the rides. Our three grandchildren could not have been happier. Thank you Zoo Tampa for an awesome day.My son loved that it was themed by continents and he was surprised by some of the animals there. It was a pleasant 4 hours. I read some reviews that the zoo was dated and not very clean, I disagree. Even the wife had fun. Its a must if you have children.
