Our guide was wonderful. One of the train transitions was really quick so probably good that we had him, however, I think we could have managed this ourselves. We met at the Zurich train station and just transitioned train to train until Zermatt and then got on the Cogswheel train to go up the mountain. Of course we were fogged in so we saw nothing at the top, but we knew that could happen. It was fun to see the Swiss countryside and we had time in Zermatt to explore including a guided tour. I imagine it would be AMAZING to actually see the Matterhorn. So expect all day train travel with a guide knowing you may see nothing. I would have liked to stay in Zermatt and hike down the mountain. Another time. My husband and I were the only travelers when we went.Wonderful trip and tour guide. Of course because it’s a day trip you will have limited time in the area but that’s the nature of the day trip. We were the only three on the tour.

This was absolutely delightful. We couldn't have had a better time, due to our incredible guide,Ulrich. He was very knowledgeable and respectful of our intentions. He made the long ride entertaining as well as educational. We would definitely use his service again. Our only issue was trying to reach your office by phone a couple of days before our trip to confirm and not being able to reach anyone. This created undo stress and it totally unacceptable and needs to be addressed. Thank you for our great guide. Maurice & Teena NanoiaVery nice day trip from Zurich. Very nice day trip from Zurich. My husband and I were the only two travelers, and the tour still went on. Our guide knew the area very well, and shared a good deal of historical knowledge, which we enjoyed. Zermatt is about a mile in elevation, and Gornergrat (where you can view the Matterhorn) is about 2 miles in elevation. I didn't handle the elevation change very well, but still enjoyed the trip. It was storming during our visit, so we didn't actually see the Matterhorn, although it was fun to walk around in heavy snow. We had lunch at Gornergrat at the top of the railway, and descended to tour Zermatt for a couple of hours before heading back to Zurich. The meeting point needs some sort of signage etc. I ran around for over 25 mins trying to find the group meeting place. The meeting point needs some sort of signage etc. I ran around for over 25 mins trying to find the group meeting place. I had to ask so many people and received no help. One gentleman was finally able to point me in the right direction. Once on the train and the sweat being wiped away from trying to find the meeting spot all was spectacular the rest of the day. What a fantastic experience!! Getting the first glimpse of the Matterhorn on the train, I got so excited I could hardly wait to see it up close. Back down to Zermatt I was super excited to see this charming town. We didn't have much time there which was a bumber as I could have easily spent a few hours there eating and doing some shopping and going in some of the magnificent hotels. Would love to return one day....
