Stop At: Piedras Encimadas, Puebla Mexico

The wonder of nature is manifested in this stunning valley of which 200 hectares are owned by the State Government. It is located 40 minutes from the city, following the northern route access to the city (federal highway Zacatlán-Tulancingo) traveling 21 kilometers until you reach a junction which is duly signposted that will take you to the Piedras Encimadas Valley, to which you'll arrive after traveling 10 kilometers more.

Once in this place, you can enjoy unforgettable contact with the magic of nature to see the impressive and enigmatic rock formations that the erosion, rain and wind have formed over millions of years, so you can see the sitting elephant, the head of Popeye, the seal, the owl, the virgin, the bird, the dove, the family, the seahorse, the mother, loving, the crib, the perfect couple; in a nutshell, dozens of figures that will undoubtedly leave you in awe. Stop At: Los Murales De Zacatlan, Privada Porfirio Diaz 1002, Zacatlan 73310 Mexico

Zacatlán is the typical place that when you know it and you enjoy it, it is very difficult not want to go back and that is exactly what happened to me.

When you first arrive in this magical town that is surrounded by cliffs and rock formations, you realize that you're beginning a journey through time.

This place is full of surprises, gifts from people, and nature to which it is impossible to say no; the huge floral clock in the main square, the superb Franciscan Ex-convent or the Parish of San Pedro and San Pablo make this place simply magical.

The great views, the stunning viewpoint from the 'goldfinches ravine', the vitromural for the 300 years of the town or the museum of the Centenary Watch Factory museum are a surprise to find that you cannot imagine.

A little more than 20 minutes from downtown, a freak of nature will fill you with energy and admiration; the Valle de Piedras Encimadas is ideal for hiking, horseback riding, camping, eating or just spending a day immersed in nature.

And of course the cuisine, bread, cider and spirits made from apples and all kinds of fruit are simply delicious.

Zacatlán is one of the places where you want to stay to live and start a new life.
