Obsidian Cliff is an incredible geologic and archeological site. Your guide will explain to you this feature's unique formation and incredible history concerning the park's original inhabitants.

Stop At: Fountain Paint Pot, Lower Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park, WY

The Fountain Paint Pots and their surrounding features are situated in the Lower Geyser Basin. Here you can find all four types of Yellowstone's hydrothermal features, a truly incredibly array of geologic oddities.

Norris Geyser Basin is the hottest, most acidic, and oldest geyser basin in Yellowstone. In addition to this, it also contains the world's tallest geyser, Steamboat Geyser. Norris Geyser Basin is truly a land of superlatives.
