What to expect
YALA (යාල) NationalPark is the most visited and Secondlargest national park in Sri Lanka, bordering the Indian Ocean.
Including Sri Lankan Elephant, 44 species of mammals are resident in Yala National Park, and it has one of the highest Leopard densities in the world .so many individual Leopards are estimated to roam in Block I.The Eelephant herd of Yala contains 100–150 individuals.The Sri Lankan Slothbear, Leopard, Elephant, and Wildwaterbuffalo are all threatened mammals that Yala harbours. Although water buffaloes are indigenous to Sri Lanka, most populations contain genes of the domestic stock or have descended from feral populations. The elephant population of the park varies seasonally.
Early morning first 2 hours and the day ended last 2 hours is the golden hours for the leopard spots.

He was super friendly and was sharing a lot of interesting information about the wildlife in the park (he could answer any question of us and had a really good knowledge!). Next to this the Nationalpark was really impressing with all the beautiful landscapes and Udayanga was always a bit off from all the other Jeeps, so we could really enjoy nature.
