Your day begins with a convenient hotel/train pick up and scenic drive to the Wuzhen water town, which boasts charmingly architectures, crisscross rivers and canal, cherished history, and elegant scenery. You will hop in our comfort of an air-conditioned private vehicle. Expected to enjoy a local culture and life experience trip in this southern ancient town today.
Wuzhen is one of the top six ancient towns in the southern region of the Yangtze River, Wuzhen Water Town boasts more than six thousand years of history and has always been a fertile land with abundant rice, fish and silk. It preserves the ancient appearance well and oozes charm of the water town itself.
Upon arrival, you will have chance to visit the ancient architecture of water village, it known as "East of Venice". Walk along the old lane and riverside, cross the bridge to feel the local lifestyle. There are several museums for you to explore if you are interested, such as Hundreds Beds Museum, Spirit Workshop, Wedding Museum, Woodcarving Museum, etc.
After lunch, watch Wuzhen local Shadow Play Show or some other local folk performances. Please feel free to let your guide know if you want to take photos by your own for a while
Your tour ends with drop-off at your Hangzhou downtown hotel or Hangzhou train station.

We signed up for a one day trip from Hangzhou to Wuzhen at the last minute (in fact just the day before the trip) and were pleasantly surprised that they could confirm the tour at such short notice. Our guide was David, who speaks excellent English and Chinese. He is very knowledgeable of the history and culture of China. Hence, it was a educational tour for us too! We are really thankful that David was able to steer us away from the crowd and hence we were able to take in the sights at our own pace. He provided nuggets of information at every locations we went into. Enough information for us to appreciate what we were seeing. Never intrusive, he gave us lots of time to explore on our own. We were supposed to arrive back in Hangzhou at 4pm but we enjoyed the tour so much that we extended it till 6pm! :) We highly recommend David for this Wuzhen tour.We booked this tour at the last minute by phone.
