This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Khao Lak Beach, Phang-nga, Thailand
After a convenient pickup service by minivan from your hotel in Khao Lak and enjoying a light breakfast at the pier, cruise by speedboat to Mu Ko Surin National Park. During the whole trip you will be attended by the carefully trained and lovely Wow Andaman crew.
Surin Islands is rated as one of Thailand's prime snorkelling sites with a phenomenal range of flora and fauna on the land and in the sea. The two main islands Koh Surin Nua (North Surin Island) and Koh Surin Tai (South Surin Island) form the bulk of the land mass. The other 3 satellite islands both enhance the overground vistas and provide supplementary fringing reef.
The casual tourist may be able to enjoy a glimpse of the park's promise whilst the naturalist can marvel at the impressive bio-diversity. During the day you will make several snorkel stops, at Pakkard Bay, at Nemo Village and at Ao Mae Yai, always with turquoise waters and colourful reefs and fish.
You will also visit the village of the Moken where you can meet the local Sea Gypsies. Discover their natural way of life, still dependent on fish hunting and building their homes from natural raw materials. They are very friendly and welcome kind explorers to their home.
Afterwards, make a stop on Koh Surin Nua for enjoying a delicious lunch at the National Park canteen. You will also have time for fun activities in the sun at Mai Ngam Beach or some hiking along the 2-kilometre walking path.
In the afternoon you will visit one more snorkeling site at Ao Mae Yai to explore the amazing coral gardens. Then head back to the pier in Khao Lak where you can enjoy light refreshments before finally being dropped off at your hotel in Khao Lak.

We are snorkelers. Have been for > 30 years. Do not scuba. This was the best snorkeling experience since the Great Barrier Reef 30 years ago. Coral is alive, reefs are vibrant, fish are plentiful and many species were new to us. Giant clams with their blue and gold were amazing. If you are into snorkeling and you have only time for one trip, this is it. We did Similan trip also--separate review. We were staying in Khao Lak so hotel to pier transit time was 15 minutes. Staying in Phuket, adds another 60-70 minutes of travel on each end. Details: Trip is a long day. Two hours solid travel each way to and from the pier to the island cluster. Boats have two (2) or three (3) 250 hp outboard engines that run constantly at @ 5000 rpm for the four (4) hour total. They are loud and monotonous. I used earplugs during the trips and perceive they made a huge difference. I considered our trip to be mildly-moderately rough. Some segments much worse than others. If one is prone to motion sickness, preparation ahead of time is worthwhile. Onboard head (toilet) is a nightmare! It literally is in a crawl space requiring hands & knees entry and limited manueverability. Best to plan ahead in this respect also. Crew was competent, friendly, and attentive. You do get fed light foods, snacks, water, soft drinks, and the not-to-be-missed coconut ice cream. Lunch is provided. Actually, a breakfast prior to leaving and supper on return are both served at the dock reception area and are adequate and refreshing. If coconut ice cream were available at breakfast, it would be outstanding. Moken village stop seems perfunctory, but local crafts are for sale. As mentioned, did the Similan trip also. My opinion: That trip is much more "socially" oriented, has less spectacular snorkeling experiences, but shorter travel times. If snorkeling is your thing and you have only time for one trip, Surin is the one.Tan and Nami looked after us on this amazing snorkelling and beach trip. Tan and Nami looked after us on this amazing snorkelling and beach trip. Travelling by longtail boat to 'secret island' Trip included soft drinks, fruit and a great unexpected picnic on the beach. They set us up with beach umbrellas, rugs, beanbags and cushions. The snorkelling was good, lots of fish amongst the coral. We thought this would be the highlight, but swimming at the beach was stunning. They really couldn't offer us much more. Stunning setting !!Snorkeling through the coral reefs was a stunning experience. We loved our experience with WOW Andaman to explore the Surin Islands. Nancy and the crew looked after us so well. We chose WOW Andaman as it was recommended by the Khao Lak Paradise Hotel manager, catering for a group of 20 people. The speed boat trip is 2 hours from Khao Lak pier each way but well worth it. The speed boat was well equipped and well organised to ensure everyone was kept safe and comfortable through the whole trip. The itinerary was very good with 3 snorkelling stops of about 30 mins - 40 mins each and a trip to the sea gypsy Moken village where you can buy local hand-made crafts. The coconut ice-cream and fruits on board were a real treat. Great lunch on the island, make sure you allow enought time to go to the secluded side of the island to take in the beautiful landscape and swim in the blue-green sea.Great staff, overall trip and good food. Great staff, overall trip and good food. Journey- Calm waters that day but I will warn you that a nearly 2 hour speedboat ride is mentally and physically taxing, they do offer motion sickness pills at the pier. Snorkeling sites- we saw several species of small fish and I was surprised to see a large eel swim under me. This was also a heart wrenching moment to see some of the coral dying off from the effects of coral bleaching and its a must see for any climate change denier or activist. You could see their tips turning skeleton white as the coral cling for survival. Service and staff- Staff were very friendly and treated us like extended family, that’s probably the perk of going on a smaller tour boat vs a ship.Great trip again with WOW. this company keeping higher quality of their trips i think compare to others i been to.
