I cannot speak enough about how much fun this was. My wife and I did not know about the rich music history of the Woodstock, NY, community. Although the festival occurred in Bethel, NY, some 60 miles away, it was hatched here, and the community drew many artists seeking to leave the hustle of NYC for this area. Larry, our guide, was amazing and personable and went the extra mile to keep us engaged and answer our questions. You will be grouped with other music lovers, and for that reason, there is a great feel to the group. This was a great tour and experience. I would recommend it to anyone, even those not so musically interested, because you also get a sense of the history of the time, and those stories are compelling. I am saying this even in the context that it was a walking tour (not strenuous), and the day we went, it just happened to rain a lot.Fantastic! My wife and I had a wonderful time walking and talking with Larry , a veritable font of information regarding the Woodstock rock scene and an all - around great guy. When I booked the Rock & Roll tour, my mom and I did not know what to expect. Then Pittsburgh Larry came over and introduced himself and for the next two and a half hours we were mesmerized with the history and stories of the true rock and roll legends that graced the town and surrounding grounds of Woodstock. Larry 's knowledge and enthusiasm was contagious and we found ourselves deeply engrossed in his tales. It was truly an amazing experience. A few suggestions: perhaps a reduction of swearing and a few fewer asides about drug use and debauchery. No doubt these are real experiences that can be noted…just a little less so. In a practical vein, sitting at some point would be nice…in the theater or elsewhere. Also a mention of a bathroom break at some point.I couldn't say what my favorite part of the experience was, other than to say, all of it! I couldn't say what my favorite part of the experience was, other than to say, all of it! "Pittsburg Larry" was very knowledgeable, and most entertaining. The group consisted of myself, a good friend of mine, and a group of women who take annual vacations together. We all got along quite well and each contributed a bit of our own Rock and Roll knowledge\ personal stories, making the event even more special. I think we all learned something, and thoroughly enjoyed each others company. Above all, Larry was a great ringleader!Larry is a true encyclopedia on everything music/Woodstock history! Absolutely amazing tour. Learned so much. If you’re ever in the Woodstock area, I highly recommend this tour. You won’t be disappointed.
