Wolf’s Lair Private Day Trip from Warsaw
Overview
A secret complex of multi-storey bunkers, completely hidden from the world, was the witness to the most important moments of the Second World War.
Despite being blown up during the retreat of Germans in January 1945, the Wolf’s Liar is still very impressive. The colossal concrete bunkers spread on the huge area show the military impetus and power of the Nazi Germany. Hitler wasn’t the only one to quarter here – many of the most important people of the III Reich, like Goering, Bormann, Keitel and Jodl, had their bunkers in Wolf’s Lair.
On our way back we will visit one of the three places: Mamerki, where you can see more bunkers, a medieval castle, or a beautiful, baroque church with spectacular interior. The choice is up to you!

The Wolf's Lair is a must for WWII history buffs that focuses both on the construction of the facility and the horrific outcome of the decisions that were maid there (e.g. the destruction of Warsaw.) The best part of the long journey was seeing the countryside of NE Poland. Marcin is very knowledgeable of the area and was a very engaging tour guide. This is an amazing experience to see the exact places where Hitler commanded his disastrous eastern front during World War II. This is an amazing experience to see the exact places where Hitler commanded his disastrous eastern front during World War II. The warlord was here for over 600 days between 1941 and 1944 so this is a very important part of World War II history. The guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable. He was really enthusiastic about telling this historic story. From Warsaw it’s about 3 hours each way but completely worth the trip. A great lunch in the nearby town really helped make it seem like a short sojourn. I highly recommend the trip to anyone who is interested in World War II history or who wants to see where the assassination attempt on Hitler from the movie Valkyrie actually happened. Our guide, Martin, was excellent! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and was an outstanding communicator and conversationalist. He told us much about Warsaw and Poland during our 4 hour drive to and from Wolf’s Lair. We would highly recommend Martin for any tour he guides!

The drive passed quickly, it did not feel like 4 hours and the tour around Wolf's Lair was very comprehensive and interesting. We are so pleased we booked this and would recommend anyone visting the area, with the time to book this tour. Our guide Marcin was incredible. He knew the history, he was passionate and dynamic. He understands the geopolitics of the present and the past. He gave plenty of examples but never inserted his own politics. He asked a lot of questions and was very engaged and entertaining.

I conducted my tour from Warsaw, 4 hours away by car. Marcin H. was my guide. During our drive, Marcin educated me on the history of the Wolf's Lair and on its context within the war, as well as its context within German and Polish history. Marcin was easy to talk to and made the travel time pleasant. He also stopped for breaks as needed. The site itself was much bigger than I expected, and having a guide was of great benefit. This was definitely a worthwhile.
