Our tour is for photography beginners, for those with a real passion for taking snaps, and for those that know a thing or two about cameras. All welcome!

What to expect
Itinerary
Christmas in Carcassonne is wonderful. We're going to explore the New Town area of the city, working through the Christmas markets and past the beautiful lights and decorations, through your camera or smartphone lens! We talk about the overall principles of great photography, but without any of the unnecessary jargon, and we'll look at what we think makes a perfect photo. Our walk will take us through to the Port of the Canal du Midi, and along to the Pont Marengo, pausing at various points to reflect on a new aspect of photography. We jump behind the lens to try them out.
We'll wander along the cobbled lanes, finding spots to learn about, and to practice black and white photos, landscape, portrait and action shots before moving to the more popular areas around Place Carnot, where the biggest Christmas market is and turning to the famous Pont Vieux for a final summary.

My partner and I booked unto this tour and it was soooo wonderful. Firstly, the tour guide Laurence was very knowledgeable about the area. He has a very calm and confident demeanour which gave the tour a good, relaxed vibe. We could ask all the questions that we wanted to and he gave plenty of recommendations about placed to visit and things to try in the area. It was also nice to hear Laurence's interesting life story. We learnt a lot from him and were able to put the photographical techniques he showed us into practice right away. We took some great photos. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to other travellers. When we booked, the tour didn't have many reviews so we were a bit worried about this ... but we were so happy in the end, so don't let that put you off! Book it!GilbertV204
