Wine Tasting in Heart of Sofia
Overview
You will taste 5 wine varieties of local grapes unique to Bulgaria, that can not be found anywhere else: Miskets, Melnik, Mavrud, Gumza and Rubin. Plus, local cheeses, artisanal bread and mineral water.
The tasting is held in one of the best boutique wine shops in Sofia – Tempus Vini, which is located on an artsy street in the city center, known for its fine restaurants and boutiques. And just a few streets away from Sofia’s main pedestrian boulevard.
During the tasting I can tell you about the wine regions of Bulgaria including the history and the wine culture of my beautiful country.
All tastings are held in English or Bulgarian

A wonderful experience to get a look into the (still) hidden gem Bulgarian wine is. Learnt a lot, tasted great wines, and loved the intimate setting of it all! I’d say it’s a must do when you’re in Sofia:)

The shop is cozy and intimate and the cheeseboard presented 3 delicious local cheeses that paired well with everything we tasted. Aside from Kalin's impressive knowledge he is also a winemaker and we had the absolute pleasure of tasting some of his wines.We had a fantastic experience, having never been to a wine tasting before we didn’t really know what to expect. We had a fantastic experience, having never been to a wine tasting before we didn’t really know what to expect. Kalin our host for the afternoon was incredibly welcoming and his knowledge of the wines and the local vineyards is both extensive and interesting. I left feeling really far more enthusiastic about wine than I had previously (aside from ordering a house white I knew nothing about it) and feel far more confident now. The wines were absolutely lovely and the cheese and breadsticks were an added bonus. Kalin was also very accommodating when we had to change our time due to our flight being late. All in all was a 5* experience and I would highly recommend.We did the wine tasting as a group of 6 friends on our first day in Sofia. Kalin was a very knowledgeable host and the wines and cheese that we got to taste were all delicious! We did the wine tasting as a group of 6 friends on our first day in Sofia. Kalin was a very knowledgeable host and the wines and cheese that we got to taste were all delicious! We bought 6 bottles of wine to take home, we went back to collect them a couple of days later but due to a mix up the shop was closed, but Kalin was able to arrange to get the wine to our hotel before we left for the airport, which was great customer service.We had a great time! Really nice to taste some bulgarian wines and learning about them. In the Netherlands they dont have bulgarian wines so it was cool to try some. Kalin was really nice!
