Wine Taste&Tour is our personal interpretation of a wine tasting. An experience branded Podere di Pomaio that takes places in a couple of relaxing and interesting hours focused on organic quality wine and its production. Most of the experience takes place in the open air, and the tasting too can take place in the terrace garden of the winery, under the Tuscan sun (according to the weather). The experience is safe and enjoyable, thanks to the big outside area we have.
The tour is divided in 3 phases. A tour of the vineyard will introduce us to the principles of organic cultivation, a tour in the modern ECO-Green cellar, included among the 14 most beautiful modern wineries of Tuscany, will tell us more about the vinification technique and everything that is related to an organic production. We'll end our tour with a tasting of 3 wines combined with great craft food from local producers.

I can't recommend this tour enough! We arrived on a rainy day, but it was still amazing. The hosts were very knowledgeable and accommodating. It was also a great deal because we got to taste the wine, see the cellar, taste some local foods, and if it weren't raining we would've seen the vineyards too. It was so nice to hear about the organic wine production process and how this particular vineyard is striving to be as sustainable as possible. Thank you for an amazing visit!

This tour and tasting was amazing, especially for the price. My friend and I are studying here and had the most wonderful time. We came from Florence and were about 30 minutes late, but we were easily eased into the tour. The land is beautiful and there was a family in the tour as well who were a pleasure to spend the day with. Our tour guide was fun and made an effort to make sure everyone understood what she was talking about. The food and wine were delicious. They also allowed my friend and I to stay after the tour for pictures, and they even called a cab for us! We purchased two of our favorite wines and promised that we'll save them for special occasions. This was the perfect day!
We did the tour with the light lunch as a group of 5 adults.
Bonella was our guide.
She was very informative and spoke very good English.
She did more then just give a dry tour, we had a lot of conversations about the winery as well as wine and wine making in general.

The place has a lot a of history, even though the winery it self is relatively young.
The place is beautiful, cosy and the wine was really good.
She taught us the basics of wine tasting. Which is good for people doing a wine tasting for the first time. She studied to be a sommelier so she is full with knowledge.
The lunch was fantastic, good selection of cold cuts, cheese and vegetables.
Highly recommended, great experience. Good value.

An excellent time! Excellent for anyone staying in or around Florence, as it is just a one-hour 5 Euro train ride away to Arezzo. Jacopo, the owner of the winery, greeted us kindly upon our arrival and our guide was enthusiastic about the history and development of this micro winery. We were a group of three and had the entire tour to ourselves -- no other visitors were there, allowing for a much more individualized experience. After an hour-long tour of the facilities and discussions on the organic production process, our guide showed us into the beautiful terrace and dining room, at which point the tasting began. We drank roughly one bottle of wine each, sampling a rose, a Merlot/Sangiovese Chianti, and a Sangiovese-only higher-end wine. I was especially impressed by the Chianti and ordered a few reasonably priced bottles to bring home. We were also treated with a generous helping of local hams, cheeses, and olive oil produced on-site. After the tasting, we were allowed to remain on the premises until closing time to take pictures and sober up a bit... Frankly, this tour could easily be priced 20 Euro more expensive and I would still find it a great value. An absolute gem.
