Wine Taste Tour With Maria Fumaça Train Ride
Overview
The tour starts with a 1h30 drive by Maria Fumaça, a steam train, with music, artistic presentations on Italian culture and wine tasting and sparkling wines while passing through a splendid landscape of the municipalities de Bento Gonçalves, Garibaldi and Carlos Barbosa.
We will get to meet one of the best-renowed wineries of this country, being part of the wine-making process, just from the grape harvesting to the making and for sure, we will visit the Tramontina shop, where some inox is sold at a lower price.
We'll move on to the Epopeia Italian Park, this one has several Italian immigration exhibitions just when the arrival of ships, clothing, food tendencies, and more.

It's a nice experience, lot of fun & entertainment, but there is some concerns that I explain below. What they didn't tell you? 1 - The journey starts around 6am in Gramado, where, via charter, they will drive you until Bento Goncalves (trip around 1h50m - not so well highway)/you will miss the breakfast at hotel; 2 - There's no food or so until the next train station (around 1-2 hours after the train departure - bring your own snacks); 3 - The tour includes ITALIA EPOPEIA, a very nice & educative history about Italian immigration (1h30) 4 - The wine tour is nice but could be better & faster (2h) 5 - The lunch is on self-service restaurant in Bento Goncalves downtown (don't expect much) 6 - Visiting TRAMONTINA factory and store (2h) 7 - Stop in city near Gramado for shoe shopping or visiting a chocolate factory (depends the availability of day - 2h) 8 - Returning time expected (depending the weather, around 9PM) 9 - Total Tour time: from 6am until 9pm Definitely is not a travel for minors considering the long period of time.
