We ended up booking 2 tours with him. One was a phenomenal 2 winery tour with Javier. Which he was great company. The second was a private city tour with Miguel. In both tours we were enjoying our time that they went longer than planned but we greatly appreciated the personal touch. We had an amazing time from the moment Ryan picked us up - we learned so much about the history of wine making in Uruguay. It was capped off with an amazing visit to Bodegas Carrau. They've been making wine there for 250 years. We met the owner and winemaker, toured the cellar and facilities and tasted everything from Rose, to blends to their signature varietal, Tannat. On the way back to Montevideo, Ryan shared restaurant recommendations and tips for making the most of our visit to Uruguay. He even helped us make reservations at a few special spots.
