Lots of birds and quite a few jumping fish. Mark did a great job explaining about the manatees, the mangroves and the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this tour and Mark, if you’re lucky to get him as your guide.Kayaking with CocoaKayaking.com at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge Haulover Canal is one of the best kayaking tours on the planet. Kayaking with CocoaKayaking.com at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge Haulover Canal is one of the best kayaking tours on the planet. Anyone who appreciates kayaking with wildlife should jump on the opportunity to experience everything that Haulover Canal has to offer. Many days are like a Manatee music festival also joined my bottled nose dolphin, alligators, birds, and fish along the way. An absolute must do whether you're visiting from afar or if you call central Florida your home!I’ve been kayaking many times in different places, but my experience in Haulover Canal, along with tour guide Scott, was unforgettable. I’ve been kayaking many times in different places, but my experience in Haulover Canal, along with tour guide Scott, was unforgettable. Weather was great, very peaceful yet full of wildlife. While there where no manatees around that day, I got to see dolphins up close 3 times! There where many birds flying and hanging around, including a Scrub Jay, as well as a Horseshoe Crab and a Manta in one part of the river. Scott was very nice, knowledgeable and kept me interested in my surroundings all the time. Will definitely do it again! Thank you so much! This is a must do trip! Simply amazing! This is a must do trip! Simply amazing! Jenny, our guide, was easy going, obviously enthralled with the area, very knowledgeable, and engaging - everything you want in a tour guide. The kayaking was so lovely and the area is entrancing. We saw manatees, and it was like seeing giant water puppies, who were somehow also elegant, while also hilarious! We saw osprey, including one who circled us to show off the fish they had just caught, great blue herons, snowy egret, and more. I have such an appreciation for this ecosystem after this trip.Emily, our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. It’s obvious she loves her job and also loves people. Emily, our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. It’s obvious she loves her job and also loves people. The duration of the trip was optimal so as not to stress age or physical ability groups. It provided all to see witness exotic flora and fauna up close. Emily had the familiarity to allow us to anticipate where certain animals were located. Thanks Emily! We really enjoyed our tour guide Emilie, she was incredibly knowledgeable and down to earth. We saw a bunch of manatees, a pod of dolphins, and tons of fun shore birds. All in all a great experience!
