Whitewater Rafting Naranjo River from Manuel Antonio Class III-IV
Overview
The Naranjo River is a Class III/IV half day challenge for more experienced paddlers. The Naranjo River drops steeply from the coastal mountain range above Quepos through a beautiful jungle gorge, and takes you on a wild ride to sea level, passing nearby farmlands and palm plantations. The river banks are overgrown with jungle and the canyon walls meet the water at 90 degree angles. The whitewater, jungle, canyon, and sky, make for an unforgettable day. For the advanced rafter, this is an exciting and refreshing ride through the Naranjo canyon. As well, if you are a first time paddler who welcomes a challenge and is looking for the excitement of big waves, hydraulics and stunning scenery, then this whitewater rafting trip is for you!
It includes a snack, lunch, bilingual guides, safety kayak, photographer (pictures available for purchase), and A/C transportation to and from hotels or houses in Manuel Antonio or Quepos.

This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Amigos Del Rio, Km 2 on the road to Manuel Antonio, Manuel Antonio, Quepos Costa Rica
We will pick you up from your hotel or house in Manuel Antonio or Quepos, and bring you to our office where you will sign in, eat a meal (breakfast or lunch, depending on time of the tour), and then you will ride to the river put in. Once you arrive at the river, you will be fitted with life jackets, paddles, and helmets and then the guides will give a safety talk before entering the river. The time spent rafting is approximately 1.5 hours. The trip will finish, you will get into the vans and head back to our office. The morning tour will include lunch after the tour.

- Minimum age is 12 years
- Dress code: swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, water shoes, tennis shoes or sandals with ankle straps. No flip flops.
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- A minimum of 4 people per booking for the 11:30AM tour is required
- A maximum of 10 people per booking
- Largest lifejacket fits a size 52" chest
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Hand sanitizer available to travelers and staff
- Social distancing enforced throughout experience
- Regularly sanitized high-traffic areas
- Gear/equipment sanitized between use
- Transportation vehicles regularly sanitized
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 15 hours of travel. In this case confirmation will be received as soon as possible, subject to availability

This wildwater rafting was one of the best highlights in Costa Rica. I was a bit scared at first, but it turned out to be the most adventurous and fun activity I have done for a while. Also our Guide Ulises made us feel safe and we could trust him to 100%.Thank you for this experience!

Rafting the grade 4 and 5 rapids was totally wild and one of the highlights of our trip in costa rica! The river was technical and challenging with some crazy rapids that were intense, scary and really fun! We were only on the water for 1 hour but it was definitely worth the money. Abi had never rafted before and was visibly scared but her nerves turned to adrenaline after the first rapid and she loved it! Our guides Luis and Flippy were fantastico! Both were experts, they knew every bit of the river and how to get the most fun out of it. We also had a safety man who watched us from a kayak to ensure everyone was safe and there was also a photographer on the water too. 4 crew to 4 rafters made us feel very ssafe.it was clear the crew were passiomate about their work and appeared to be just as stoked as we were. The only negative we have about the trip was that we had to pay $30 per boat ($60 total) to get the photos from the day. The photos were really good but it was a big extra cost on top of the $100 + tax each that we already spent on the experience, which seemed a bit cheeky. Despite this we bought the photos and left feeling stoked on the day! Thanks Luis, Flippy and the rest of the crew! Phil, Abi, Nick & Ellie from England & Wales 🤙😝✌
