White Water Rafting Upper Naranjo River (Chorro section, Dec. 15th - May 15th)
Overview
We are a boutique tour company that is locally owned and operated. We pride ourselves on keeping our groups small to medium in size and avoid taking out large groups so that we can make our tours more personal and unique. This is a safe rafting tour which is great for people that want to experience a tropical river without driving too far. The starting point is only a 30 minute ride from Quepos and Manuel Antonio.
The Upper Naranjo "Chorro" section is a beautiful mini canyon and is great a great option for dry season rafting (Dec. 15th - May 15th). The rapids are class 3 and 3+ and are perfect for the entire family. Not only will you raft past jungle waterfalls, there are places in the canyon where you can float just with your life vest in the calm waters. There is also a opportunity for some cliff jumping from 5, 10 and 15 feet is you so desire.
At the end of the tour you will be served a fruit snack of pineapple, fruit juice, water and cookies. The drive back is only 20 minutes.

- Near public transportation
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Most travelers can participate
- What to bring: extra bottled water, sun block, water shoes or sneakers (Keens or Tevas work great, no flip flops), sun glasses and straps, swim suit, towel, change of clothes, a little money just in case, camera
- A minimum of 2 people per booking for the morning 7 am tour is required
- A minimum of 3 people per booking for the afternoon 12 pm tour is required
- A maximum of 15 people per booking
- Largest life jacket fits a size 52" chest
- Minimum age is 10
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

You can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity.
Cancellation
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start time of the experience.

From pick up to drop off this tour was amazing. My wife and I did the adrenaline-filled churro section of the river that we highly recommend to anyone looking for an adventurous white water rafting trip. Thanks to our knowledgeable and professional guides we were able to navigate some large rapids and drops with confidence, at no time did we feel unsafe due to the guides and safety kayak. Literally breathtaking! The scenery is incredible and simply too beautiful. The water was so clear, clean and refreshing. It was my very first experience rafting but I trusted Damian with my life. He is highly skilled and experienced, he was my guide on this trip and two others (waterfall and hike-river float). For me, the rafting was impressive and a bit scary, but I am afraid of heights and have zero past experience rafting, so I was learning on the spot. Bring a change of clothing: you will get wet. The instructions at the beginning were clear and those guys really know what they are talking about (Thanks Damian and Mel!). When they tell you to paddle: Paddle! haha... It is for adventurous people, it's really fun and the adrenaline does kick in! It's worth it! I also loved floating down some parts of the river in my life jacket: where the water is clam, you can just float and really appreciate the jungle surrounding you. You can also jump from rocks (and the water is deep enough), this helped me push my limits and made me want more adventure in my life!!Niki357

Everything about this tour was amazing and worth every penny! The guys were so friendly and made sure we were having a great time. The rafting was a blast, also the whole tour was just me and my boyfriend. This was by far the best white water rafting tour I have done!

This was an incredible experience! Mel and Damian made me and my girlfriend super comfortable and taught us how to properly navigate the river while having a ton of fun in the process. Would highly recommend to anyone headed to Costa Rica!
