Whiskey Walking Tour
Overview
Love whiskey? Walking? Pittsburgh? Then this sounds like the tour for you! From the mill to the still, whiskey has been a cornerstone in Pittsburgh's history. Come downtown for our whiskey history tour where you will discover how whiskey has fueled political, labor and social movements throughout the region. We start the tour with a sample of the oldest and longest continuously produced whiskey in America. A second taster of locally produced whiskey will get you in the mood to explore Pittsburgh's whiskey past and present. As we walk the streets of Downtown, you'll learn about the violent Whiskey Rebellion in Pittsburgh, hidden former (as well as existing!) speakeasies around the city, and how Prohibition affected the region.

We were visiting Pittsburgh for the weekend and decided to do the Whiskey Walking Tour. We were not sure what to expect since we are from Ohio but it was worth it all! Corrie was absolutely an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable and so much fun! My boyfriend really had a great time and would definitely visit again for another tour with her! Highly recommend this tour! The tour was 2 hours long but I wouldn’t have minded going even longer! Such a good time…plus all the whiskey :)Julie_B

It was a gamble scheduling a walking tour in February… in Pittsburgh, but it was totally worth it! We did the Whiskey Walking tour with Corrie. She was a fantastic guide! Funny, knowledgeable, and a great host. You learn a lot about how whiskey shaped Pittsburgh, started a rebellion, made heroes...
It was a gamble scheduling a walking tour in February… in Pittsburgh, but it was totally worth it! We did the Whiskey Walking tour with Corrie. She was a fantastic guide! Funny, knowledgeable, and a great host. You learn a lot about how whiskey shaped Pittsburgh, started a rebellion, made heroes and jagoffs (just take the tour if you are visiting and don’t know what that means) of people you learn about in history, and then made a resurgence with local distillers. You also get to see the architecture of Pittsburgh while you are at it. I hope some of the venues reopen after COVID because it will just add to the awesome experience.James_V

Corrie is a great guide with a lot of knowledge about the history of Pittsburgh. The stories of Carnegie and Frick were enlightening. I will be thinking about this for many years to come.

Me and my buddy enjoyed the whiskey tour and learned some cool history of whiskey and the city of Pittsburgh. Tour guide Corrie was very informative and awesome even through some frigid weather. Highly recommend the whiskey walking tour!
