This was a 3-hour tour in the sea between Tenerife (Los Gigantes) and La Gomera, and it couldn't have been better! Everything was explained in a scientifically knowledgeable but approachable way. Mercedes and Victor, who formed the two-person crew, were always friendly and helpful, responding to questions from the passengers. One of the best things about the trip was that the boat is ecologically sound (with electric motors) and seats only about 10 people, making for a great personal experience. Of course you can take your own camera with you, but actually there's no need to do so as the team sent us some great photos and videos of our tour a few days afterwards. My wife and I found this a most memorable experience, and can recommend it most highly. We were looking for a whale watching experience, far away from those mass tourism concepts with huge boats. We were looking for a whale watching experience, far away from those mass tourism concepts with huge boats. We ended up booking with EcoWhaleWatching which seemed to match what we wanted and it turned out to be even better than expected! We had our tour with Chema, who started by giving us an insight on the island and the whales. During the tour, he kept on explaining what we were seeing and gave us many anecdotes (whales, dolphins, birds, turtles, fish, nature etc.). We had the chance to have a group of whales stopping just next to our boat and were even able to hear them talking to each other. It was a wonderful experience and if you are looking for an eco friendly tour done by scientists, where the animals are respected and stand in the middle point, I highly recommend EcoWhaleWatching and Chema !Fantastic tour from Chema. A true animal lover, a lot of respect and admiration for nature. He went the extra mile to show us all kinds of wildwilfe. We were very fortunate to spot whales, dolphins and a seaturtle on the same trip. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic time on this tour, travelling as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids aged 8 and 5). The boat is small and ‘no frills’ but totally comfortable and well kitted out with safety equipment. The children enjoyed being able to go fast across the waves! Chema was a friendly and very knowledgable guide who told us lots about the Canary Islands and their wildlife. We saw lots of pilot whales, birds and even a turtle and due to the small size of the boat were able to feel very close to them without it feeling intrusive. We were happy to be on this small tour rather than with hundreds of others and the two hour duration was perfect with young kids. Highly recommended. We took this tour with Chema and were extremely lucky to watch fin whales (rorcual tropical) that were passing by the area, something completely extraordinary! We took this tour with Chema and were extremely lucky to watch fin whales (rorcual tropical) that were passing by the area, something completely extraordinary! We also saw dolphins and pilot whales, and tons of beautiful canarian "pardelas" gliding over the waves. I really liked that the boat was relatively small, as this way we disturbed the animals much less and also it's more pleasant to be with a small group of people. Chema was extremely passionate about the animals and told us lots of fun facts about them. Most importantly, he was always respectful with them, which is why I would really encourage this trip for whale and dolphin watching.
