This is a walking tour of Split with a local historian! I will guide you through all of the relevant sites in the center of Split in a logical manner following the cities development through time.

I have a Master's degree in history, so I can provide much more knowledge than what is learned at a tour guide course. I have years of study and passion for history behind me and I am really trying to carry that forward. Also, I am a local, born and still living in Split!

I combine that with the expertise and education I gained as a teacher to make my tours a logical and pragmatic experience.

I speak fluent English and I enforce dialogue as much as I can during my tours since it provides much more personal contact with the guide and it's easier and more enjoyable to learn that way.

I will present you with 3D reconstructions of the sites, which are a result of my own work and dedication, in order to bring the past to life for the visitor!

Stop At: Cathedral of Saint Domnius, Kraj Sv.Duje 5, Split 21000 Croatia

Stop At: Eastern (Silver) Gate, Diocletian's Palace, Split 21000 Croatia

This was the first thing we did after arriving in Split and it was just perfect. A fantastic introduction into the history and sightseeing highlights of Split. Toni was super nice and knowledgeable.

May 2022

Toni was EXCELLENT. Can not stress that enough. A former history teacher, he was very knowledgeable. It ended up just being my husband and i on the tour and he took the time to find out what we were interested in and really tailored our tour to our interests. He was very forthcoming and willing ...

Toni is probably the best tour guide in the world. He was so knowledgeable and friendly and really made the tour fascinating. Thank you

April 2022

We were a bit unsure as whether to book, as Toni does charge a bit more than other tours, but decided to give him a go. He was well worth what we paid. Toni is not just another paid tour guide who's been told a script. He is genuinely interested in what he is speaking about, and even writing a bo...

The tour with Toni was excellent, informative, and entertaining. His extensive knowledge of history brought the whole palace area alive for us. We left with a great appreciation for Split, Croatia, and the entire Balkan region. This tour is really a must do when in Split!!! Highly recommended!...
