We were very disappointed with our experience. 1) We booked this tour because it had a river cruise. Nothing on the info page indicated the cruise begins on a specific date in May. On pick-up we were told sorry no river cruise. Also, for the alternative, the description stated there’s a one hour guided tour of the Abbey. We did not receive a guided tour. We were dropped at that location for an hour. Most of the signage is in German. We were unable to understand and truly value the exhibition. 2) Ride was very cramped and uncomfortable. 3) After completing several other excursions in the area, we concluded this is way overpriced. I can’t believe lunch is not included and I can’t believe we paid additional 40 euro for hotel pickup/drop off.Very interesting trip and friendly host Tomas!!!! THANK YOU! Well worth the money! This trip did not enjoy the best weather conditions, but the tastings and tours made up the lack of sunshine. It was a well spent day away from Vienna, learning more about the Wachau Valley and appreciating all the labor that goes into growing and harvesting each year.
