Travelers will take of from Hilo Airport where they will fly directly to the volcanoes national park. Along the way they will see orchid farms and lush native forest that are in large part only found on big island. The volcanoes national park gives breathtaking views of lava flows both old and new.

Finally at dusk, a perfect lake of lava shone like a neon sign, directing our attention to powerful Pele.

The weather wasn’t playing nice, but Sam worked hard to get us a glimpse of lava without compromising our safety. It was a smooth ride too. She even had a great play list;) I compared all services and found for what was offered very reasonable. Also my husband is 6ft 7 and was able to sit fairly comfortably. My family of 5, including children ages 10,7,3, had a fantastic time on our tour! Cookie was friendly and helpful in getting us all checked in and prepped. Our pilot, Sam, was fantastic! We appreciated how safety-oriented she was (by informing us that she was a pilot first and tour guide second), but she was also a very informative tour guide full of knowledge and information which she freely shared. She was great at pointing out sights of interest, as well as giving us some great recommendations on things to do in the area with our boys. We felt completely safe and comfortable, and we all enjoyed our time! It was well worth the money and the drive from the Kona area. After our morning helicopter tour, we explored the NP on foot which was just the right amount of time for our kids. It helped seeing the views from the air first. Thank you for giving us a unique vantage point from which to view the volcano!!
