Stop At: Oropendola Warterfall, Rincon de La Vieja Costa Rica
This beautiful waterfall located just outside of the park is a perfect pause to refresh after the hike, you can swim on the natural pool at the bottom and relax before lunch.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Rio Negro Hot Springs, Rincon de La Vieja 50101 Costa Rica
After a delicious buffet lunch, you will have the chance of discovering the healing properties of the volcanic mud and the natural hot springs, this is the best way release the stress and finish a perfect day of adventure.

Stop At: Liberia, Liberia, Province of Guanacaste

as an extra we will let you spend some time on the biggest souvenir shop in the country, this will be a great opportunity to try a free sample of a good quality Costa Rica coffee.

The waterfall was romantic, beautiful, and the swim was safe and refreshing. Many animals, birds, and stunning vistas went along with the awesome natural beauty and energy of the volcanic vents and bubbling mud pools (anticipate the strong sulfer smell). Lunch was delicious with multiple buffet options. The hot spring pools offered multiple different temperatures in the most awesome picturesque River setting and the rejuvenating volcanic mud application made our skin super smooth. Gabriel was safe, super knowledgeable, and was super attentive to even our smallest needs. We really felt like we were touring with our friend. Additionally , we felt safe with him as our guide being 3 women out in the middle of Costa Rica! We highly recommend his tours. Our favourite parts of this tour were the waterfall and hot springs. Such breathtaking and exhilarating experiences that are unique to Costa Rica. You won’t regret it. The hike can be really hot so pack extra water and sunscreen. Our trip with Gabriel was exactly what we expected. It was just my wife and I on our private trip. He picked us up at our hotel on time, stopped, per our request, at a store to pick up a couple of things on the way there (and back) and shared his knowledge of his country with us. He taught us many things about the plants and animals of the rain forest. While we didn't see any monkeys on our trip, they could be heard howling off in the distance. About half way through the walk at the volcano, Gabriel recognized a sound and began looking around in the trees. Sure enough, he spotted a beautiful toucan and pointed him out to us. The buffet lunch was very good. Bring some money for beer, if that's your drink of choice. The waterfall was nice but the water is very cold. My wife got in but I could tell from the look on her face that I was not even going to try it. It was an excellent opportunity for some good pics. The hot springs were exactly that...HOT. There are several "pools" there with different temps in each. We only did the two or three coolest ones because we couldn't handle the rest. We did not get the mud smeared on us but there were several there that did and they seemed to enjoy it. Overall, the trip was great. It would be good for a small group, a couple or a family. Gabriel will go off the scheduled plan and do things in a different order, if you prefer. The only other thing that I'd want to mention is there is a lot of walking/hiking. Nothing too difficult but it could not be enjoyed by someone badly out of shape or with any mobility issues. Wear good shoes for walking on trails.Romy_V
