We couldn't have had a better guide for our first trip to Alborello Gueto met us even though we arrived a little late. He immediately introduced himself in such a warm and cordial way that immediately put us at ease. His knowledge of the history and anecdotal comments painted a fascinating story of the area, its history, and the character of the modern day community. At the conclusion of tour we were truly left wanting to see more and to hopefully visit again some day. We did not participate in a Guided tour, rather walked through ourselves and stepped into all the open Trulli homes and read the signs. There are lots of souvenir shops and eating/drinking places. It is easy to see the town in a few hours, but well worth walking through town in the evening at dark. It is a fairy-like setting and beautiful with all the lighting through town. I highly recommend walking all through the village, up and down the alleys. Lots of different home decorations for those that live there. If you can, spend the night in a Trullo. The tour was amazing and Antonio is an amazing tour guide! The explanations of the place and recommendations were fantastic! I highly recommend it.
