What to expect
The hike begins at the famous river overlooked by its bridge. We continue in the forest near the river for about 2km, before arriving at an observation point on the heights. In winter walking in the snow can remain physical if there is huge amount of snow! At the end of these 2km in the snow, we will enjoy a magical view.
The hike continues for 1.6 km to make a loop and return to the starting point. Depending on the snow may be possible to use snowshoes. Before to get back, we will enjoy the open fire place close to the beginning of the hike. It is a nice place to take a break, drink some coffee or tea and eat some biscuits.

Miguel is a nice guide to show us around the Vikakongas. The hiking lasts for 3-4 hours, which requires a certain amount of stamina since walking in snow is not easy. You should really carefully consider your physical condition before choosing it. Nevertheless, the view we had was totally worth the money and effort. Hiking in enchanted forest with nobody around was simply fascinating, and the white view of landscape was fabulous. We took many good photos and had a wonderful time, so do consider this trip in daytime if you visit Rovaniemi.Super activité, la randonnée est accessible pour tous les niveaux et le paysage est vraiment très beau.
