Maria-Theresien-Platz is a large public square between Ringstrasse and the Museumsquartier. Facing each other from the sides of the square are two twin buildings, the Natural History Museum and the Art History Museum. Square is decorated by the grand statue of empress Maria Theresa.

The Ringstrasse is a circular grand boulevard that serves as a road around the historic central part of Vienna. Ringstrasse replaced the medieval city fortifications in the second half of 19th century. Today it is a beautiful complex of grand buildings including City Hall, Parliament, Burgtheater, Vienna State University, State Opera and many more. Historic Ring Road style is using elements of Classical, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Ringstrasse is designated by UNESCO as a part of Vienna’s World Heritage Site.

Dace's tour is a fantastic introduction to Vienna. Her extensive knowledge of the city and art history enables her to provide a very informative and comprehensive taste of this historic and cultural capital. She combines the top sights with a few off-the-beaten path attractions that we would not have been able to discover easily ourselves (e.g. a famous "Third Man" filming location, Beethoven's Pasqualatihaus apartment, the amazing Da Vinci's Last Supper mosaic located in the Minoritenkirche, and some quirky and interesting architectural stopovers). Overall it was a nice experience knowing about the important places of vienna. Some of the parts like vienna parliament and places near to it, we were not able to see closely. We had seen them only when we were passing by a park. This can be added in the itenarary.
