You will experience a way of life long since forgotten in the modern world. Zimbabwean culture is extremely rich and valuable and to a glimpse of it, you may have to participate in daily tasks at the Village and offering a helping hand to the natives so as to get a real feel of traditional village life. You will be picked up from your lodge/hotel for a journey heading towards an authentic rural village, that is approximately 25 kilometers away from Victoria Falls town. Get ready to be amazed as you enter an alternate world where tradition, and local customs are still retained as it has for centuries.
The tour will give you an understanding of how many Zimbabweans still live to the present day, a way of living free of modern-day struggles but not without its own challenges. You are additionally allowed to bring presents for the villagers, for example, stationery, garments, sweets, or anything that you feel might be valuable to them.

This private tour from Vic Falls is an exceptional experience. Visiting a local farmer in a village gives an insight into the beliefs, traditions and lifestyle of a traditional Zimbabwean family Displaying generosity and grace I was warmly welcomed into their home and he shared the struggles and aspirations that are a part of rural life. As a bonus, my wonder driver and guide arranged for me to visit a local community school. Wildlife and waterfalls are indeed spectacular but for a genuine understanding of Africa this cultural experience lead by Simon is outstanding .An excellent way to explore real Zimbabwe culture and rural life. We visited a local families home and the village school. We chatted with the locals, teachers and kids. A really valuable experience for all family members. Highly recommend this!!!

Man hat die Möglichkeit zusammen mit dem guide ein paar Sachen für die Bewohner zu kaufen oder ihnen Geld zu geben als Dankeschön. Eine wirklich tolle Geste, die jedoch nochmal zusätzlich 30usd ge...
Noch ein kleiner Nachtrag von mir. Von dem Geld für die Tour sehen die Dorfbewohner rein gar nichts. Man hat die Möglichkeit zusammen mit dem guide ein paar Sachen für die Bewohner zu kaufen oder ihnen Geld zu geben als Dankeschön. Eine wirklich tolle Geste, die jedoch nochmal zusätzlich 30usd gekostet hat. Es hat mich nicht gestört die sachen zu kaufen, aber schade finde ich, dass bei fast 50€für die Tour, nichts für die Bewohner übrig bleibt. Ich wurde zwar gefragt, ob es ok ist, dies und das einzupacken, aber da die Preise nicht in doller, sondern in der eigenen Währung dransteht, war es auch schwierig mirzurechnen. Gefahren sind wir auch max. 20min und die Tour ging insg 90min. Insg war es eine tolle Tour, jedoch insg auch recht teuer. Der guide übersetzt alles, aber erzählen tun alles die Dorfbewohner.
