What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Palace of Versailles, Place d'Armes, 78000, Versailles France
The Palace of Versailles in true royal fashion. As your guide shows you around a carefully curated selection of the palace’s 700 rooms, you’ll hear stories of the Sun King, Louis XIV, his successors, their queens, mistresses, and courtiers – including Marie Antoinette and other notable figures. Versailles had its heyday in the 17th and 18th centuries, when the Sun King elevated Louis XIII’s humble hunting lodge into the official seat of the French court – and 300 years later, the palace has lost little of its glamorous excess.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: The Hall of Mirrors, Chateau de Versailles, 78000, Versailles France
Visit the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors inside Versailles while our passionate English-speaking guide marvels you with stories of the excesses of royal life, peaking under the Sun King, Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: The Royal Chapel, Inside the Chateau Chateau de Versailles, 78000, Versailles France
Visit the opulent Royal Chapel during your tour of the Palace of Versailles.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: Jardins du Chateau de Versailles, Place d'Armes A l'Ouest du Château de Versailles, 78000, Versailles France
The Gardens of the Palace of Versailles were designed by master gardener André Le Nôtre and court painter Charles le Brun, not as a respite from the palace, but as an extension of it – with every bit as much opulence (and intrigue) as the interior. Depending on the day, your tour of the Gardens may include the Musical Fountain Show (where fountains dance in perfect time to classical music) or Musical Gardens (where music accompanies your tour through the idyllic glades).
Duration: 30 minutes

The instructions on where to meet where not good. Paris is a busy place! When we got in the area, I called the phone number provided. I waited on hold for an extended period of time while the operator unsuccessfully tried to reach the tour guide. He did give a Google map coordinate but it was too late. I suggested getting a taxi to meet up in Versailles however the guide still could not be reached. He offered to give me the tour the following day at 50% of the cost. We ended up taking a train, it was 3.65 EU each way and going in the garden was free. Of course, we didn't have a guide or see the palace but??? I am seeking a refund! The guide was great and informative.. He took care of us with paitiance and explained in a down to earth way

Versailles was awesome but our guide not so much so. We met at 845am and left promptly but then it all deteriorated. On arrival at Versailles we were to meet some more people, some of whom didnt turn up and the others were in the wrong place, so we were left hanging about. Then we had to wait for headsets, then we had to wait again while the guide sorted the tickets. Therefore it took 90 mins from departure to getting inside Versailles. Our guide (Natalie) was OK but quite difficult to hear and she wasn’t very engaging. Someone else had a guidebook with them and said that was more useful. The palace and grounds are stunning and a “must do”. The tour itself was OK but would be better without all the faffing about.Terrible tour. English nor French was the first language of the guide. She was flustered, disorganized and seemed to have little knowledge. Do not take this tour. Would have been better to simply do it ourselves with the audio guide.

We were very disappointed in the misrepresentation of this tour. Save your money. Take the tram and get the audio tour when you get there. Wish we would have.

So… let’s talk about this tour. We were told to meet outside the metro station at 9:30. We arrived on time and the host shows up on time too. We then waited around for a few minutes as others hadn’t arrived. We then proceeded to the train station. The guide then went to purchase the tickets while we waited (why not pre purchase them like all other tours?). We waited for the train for 10 minutes then hoped on for the 30 minute ride. We got to Versailles and waited outside for more people to arrive. Once they got there, we walked in through the gates and we went to the right side. There she said she need to get out tickets and the radio. When she got back, she handed the radios out and passed out our tickets. Time to go!… towards the gate to wait till we could get in. She talked a little bit outside and the inside at 11:10 (ticket time). The tour started with a 20 minute break for toilettes. Not King Louis’s toilets, a break for our group. We had just walked in, nobody asked to go in our group of 9, but we did. So 11:30 rolls around and we finally get going. The actual guided tour of the inside was over at 12:32. She was a nice lady, but I don’t think she added much to the tour. Delivery was okay, facts were often repeated multiple times to fill time gaps as we walked through. At 12:32 when the inside tour was over. She handed us our garden passes and we were on our way. Alone. Our 4 hour tour was 62 minutes. Pros: Someone else waited in line for our tickets Cons: Value wasn’t there. Most other tour companies had pre-purchased our tickets on other tours, seemed like that should of been done. Knowledgeable about the building, but wasn’t as personable as other guides. Photos in the flip book had a mislabeled Queen in it. Can’t cost too much to print out a correct one. Once again, 62 minutes of information for a 4 hour tour.
