For 3.5-hours, enjoy comfort and style, exceptional amenities and outstanding service in vintage rail cars on a century-old route. Wind your way through a red rock paradise, with tracks that hug the curves of the Verde River. Every season offers a different reason to ride!
Astonishing views of a wild and vibrant frontier, historic trestles, bridges and a 7000-foot tunnel are just a few of the highlights tucked into unusual rock formations, red rock pinnacles and towering crimson cliffs.
Majestic bald eagles and hawks float effortlessly on the breeze above Javelina, wild burros, jackrabbits and many other Canyon creatures, peacefully coexisting with this heritage railroad for more than 100 years.

We enjoyed seeing the landscape. 2$ for the trading book was reasonable, but 3$ for a part of a can of soda was a bit too much. The appetizers were fresh and tasty.

Want some fun with some history and views of wild scenery? The Verde Canyon Railroad goes along the Verde river in areas that would provide for difficult hiking. It passes by abandoned native American pueblo dwelling. You may see soaring eagles, hawks, and/or vultures. The staff are well-versed in the history of the Verde Valley and the area. Because the rail line is very curvy, the train rolls at a leisurely 10 - 15 mph, giving you time to take in the scenery, have a beverage and snack. I like being out on the open gondola viewing cars. The coach cars are air conditioned and comfortable.Richard_M

Awesome views. Fun, pleasure train ride, in a well appointed car. Snack was great, lunch for us! Sully had such interesting real stories to share. His information made it that much more worth while. Not to be missed. Fun for all. Love that we were able to go out in the open air car as well. Loved...

Good adventure. Relaxing time with good snack food provided. We went with another couple and it was a nice time for all of us. I highly recommend the Bloody Mary drinks! The staff were informative and friendly.
