Just prior to our appt time, we stopped at a cafe nearby to have breakfast ( a pastry and a drink) while there, the shopkeeper stopped in for his breakfast too. If you have google maps, just follow that for the address. It got us there with ease. He happened to be sitting outside in his office waiting for my hubby and me. We were the only ones in his early morning class. Cute shop and nice artist. He truly is an artist and once you as what he does with your masks you’ll understand. We were pretty happy with ours but he really makes them beautiful with his added touch. Turns out it was his 42nd wedding anniversary that day. It was our 36th. Anyway we did the photos of course but while we painted he explained a lot more about which masks were made and what they symbolized. Really interesting history too. We had the best time. I booked this for my husband and me and wasn’t sure how much he’d like it but as it turns out, Tony had a really good time. Made me happy to know he enjoyed it too. It’s a small shop but you can probably get about 5 people in there without a problem. I hope you enjoy your time non Venice. This was such a nice way to start our visit. He is highly recommendedVery good experience ... a little hard to find the shop. Nice artist offered tips and lent a hand. Good selection of masks
Very good experience ... a little hard to find the shop. Nice artist offered tips and lent a hand. Good selection of masksThe location was easy to find and centrally located. We had a lot of fun painting our masks. The owner of the shop finished our masks with some cool details (which honestly made the mask look a million times better). And then we had a chance to shop through his masks afterwards.

I took my six year old son to paint masks, we had a lovely time - very chilled and both our masks turned out brilliant. The owner of the shop chatted to us about the origins of the carnival, the masks and the masks that they wore during the plague to try to protect themselves. He was friendly but left us to it, then popped back to us every ten minutes or so to see how we were getting on and give us painting tips. Can’t fault it really 🙂
