Stop At: Lagoa do Fogo, Miradouro da Serra Barrosa Agua de Pau, Sao Miguel Portugal
As our first stop we have "Lagoa do Fogo", starting from the main viewpoint of this lagoon, you will be able to delight your eyes with the clash of nature between the blue lagoon and the green flora.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Caldeira Velha Environmental Interpretation Centre, Estrada Regional da Lagoa do Fogo, Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel 9600-501 Portugal
For our second stop we have "Caldeira Velha", here you can enjoy an amazing thermal bath, surrounded by nature.
Duration: 35 minutes
Stop At: Ribeira Grande, Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel, Azores
For the final stop we have "Ribeira Grande". As you take a walk around the center of "Ribeira Grande", you will be able to enjoy the sight of a water stream, a gorgeous garden and the beautiful architecture.

I had the opportunity to visit the exuberant Ponta Delgada for a last minute escapade to Azores departing from Lisbon. I was so lucky to get a precious reccomendation from a friend to contact Picos de Aventura. And it just couldn't be better. Even with such a very short notice and stay (3 nights) they have managed to provide a perfect 2 days private itinerary that enabled me not just to see the very best of the island but also learn a lot about the local culture and their amazing people, which is usually my biggest interest in a trip. I have been escorted during my stay by Mr. Eduardo Castello, one of the coolest and aknowleged tour guides that I've met in many years. He was not just super friendly and attentive to details but most of all, transmited in such simple manners, the genuine spirit of the Azorian soul. Malgré une température des plus maussade le matin notre guide Diago a prié St-Pierre et ça marche ... on a pris plein de photos du lac de Fuego !!! Vraiment très beau !!! Malgré le manufacture de céramique fermée, nous somme allé au bain thermique de Caldera Velha ... encore une fois Diago est un super guide qui parle de son île comme si c'était à lui ... vraiment tres intéressant !!!
