The name derives from the fact that it once had a rounded shape. Now that circle has been partly lost but the beauty of this town at 400 meters above sea level and included among the most beautiful villages in Italy has remained. 30 minutes to arrive.
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: Alberobello, Alberobello, Province of Bari, Puglia
Rione Monti is the heart of the trulli area that rises towards the side of a hill with small parallel streets flanked by white houses. Here there are over 1000 trulli while in the area called Rione Aia piccola there are another 400. 15 minutes to get there.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Martina Franca, Martina Franca, Province of Taranto, Puglia
Martina Franca where the Baroque defined as Martinese reigns. Martina Franca is located on a plateau that has always been inhabited, its golden age was in the 18th century when the most beautiful palaces arose among which one cannot fail to mention the Palazzo Ducale with its halls full of frescoes and the basilica of San Martino which, in the heart of the centre, is striking for its majestic façade where the statue of the patron saint stands out. 20 minutes to arrive, and about 25 minutes to return to Taranto.

The perfect tour. Arriving from a cruise ship, the guides (driver, host, interpreter), and a clean, modern mini bus were waiting for us. There were three of us on the tour including my wife and me. The tour itself was simply a visit to three beautiful towns - Locorotondo, Alberobello and Martina...
The perfect tour. Arriving from a cruise ship, the guides (driver, host, interpreter), and a clean, modern mini bus were waiting for us. There were three of us on the tour including my wife and me. The tour itself was simply a visit to three beautiful towns - Locorotondo, Alberobello and Martina Franca. At each location we were dropped off, pointed in the right direction and picked up about an hour later at a pre-arranged spot. Each town was a different and thoroughly enjoyable experience but the highlight was the visit to Alberobello where our hosts walked with us to help gain access to one of the numerous trulli houses. Throughout the tour, the guide team were super friendly, helpful and returned us to the ship exactly on schedule. Thoroughly recommended.Kirsty_E

Well planned small group trip to 3 lovely villages. You don’t get long in each but enough to see the highlights for sure. The meeting point in Taranto isn’t where they show in the picture on the booking, it’s much further down the bus station, just by the port entrance.
