What to expect
Take a ride on the Headwaters of the Colorado River with this Upper Colorado river rafting trip, the life-blood of the American West. This is an epic adventure for ages 3 and up. Guests here will experience majestic canyon views and class II rapids as the Colorado River cuts through the Rocky Mountains on its way to the Grand Canyon. Lucky visitors may spot Bald Eagles, Elk, Deer, Bighorn Sheep, or Bear as they journey downstream through this mighty watershed.

We had SO much fun on our rafting experience! This was a first time for our family. We have four kids ranging from 11 to 14. Everyone was super friendly and helpful at the store when we arrived. The process ran smoothly and we were off to our rafting spot. When we arrived to raft, they were very organized as to where we go and who we were with. Our guide was excellent!!! He told us fun stories and kept us laughing and having fun the entire time! He was also very knowledgeable about the area so we learned a lot as we floated. We were able to stop and swim for a bit and also do some cliff jumping. They had a spot the both younger kids and older adults could jump. I would highly recommend this company and rafting trip! I looked at all of them when I was booking our trip, and am SO happy I chose Downstream Adventures. It was an unforgettable experience for our family!! We will definitely be booking through them again when we come back to Colorado!!7 of us did the beginner rafting tour and enjoyed the fabulous scenery. This was our first rafting experience. Our guide Josh was very experienced, knowledgeable, and patient as all 6 of us in the raft including 2 children were first-timers. Since none of us really knew what to expect, Downstream Adventures made the whole adventure straightforward and safe. We highly recommend these folks for a great time!Beautiful scenery and our guide Noah was great! The team was fun, safe, and professional. It's not really a half-day float on the water when you account for the round-trip bus ride, but we had an amazing time. Wear quick-dry clothes.

Although you have no control over the weather it was the perfect day. Several in our group did the cliff jump and loved the experience. We can’t say enough about our guide, Josh. His priority was to ensure we were having a great time. We would do this again.
