We wanted to explore Uluru and Kata Tjuta independently but didn’t want to miss out on stories and information that we would have heard if going on a guided tour. The audio guide was wonderful. Fully GPS integrated, it would automatically start up when passing a predetermined point and provide wonderful insights into the flora, fauna, landscape and indigenous culture and stories relevant to the area. Even giving directions at crossroads. Would definitely recommend the guide to anyone wanting to independently explore.The audio guide really enhanced our walks around Uluru. As a long term local I was impressed with how much ancient and more modern history is mixed with narrative and even songs. It’s a truly engaging guide, the content was accessible for both our kids (7 and 9) and adults. Highly recommended.

I was given an audio guide when I booked the family on the Segway tour and thoroughly enjoyed it as we drove and walked around Kata Tjuta anda Uluru. The commentary is comprehensive, informative and kicks in as you hit certain gps points along your journey. Clever enough not to repeat itself on the return trip. As a family of four we used it without headphones and could easily hear it whilst walking as a group of four or thru car speakers. Plenty of gaps in commentary for conversation and the wonderful sound of silence. I would recommend it to anyone. We felt it greatly enhanced the walks and drives!The Uluru Audio Guide is fabulous. The people involved have really created a beautiful experience that provides a deeper understanding of where you are, the cultural significance of Uluru and some of the many stories that have been part of the place for millennia and more recently.
