For the health and safety of our visitors, our tours will be operating at 75% vessel capacity for the comfort of our guests
Our small groups of guests make every seat a front row seat as you enjoy whale watching and educational talks from our marine naturalist onboard.
Our inflatable rafting vessels are modeled after Coast Guard rescue rafts and are safe, travel quickly to find whales and a fun ride for the whole family.
On our whale watch we could travel anywhere from 2 to 10 miles from Lahaina harbor, often encountering dolphins in addition to humpback whales. All trips from December – April are guaranteed to see whales or you go again for FREE!
We are locally owned and operated since 1982 and every ticket supports our participation in marine research projects and our role as certified first responders to whale entanglements.

- Bottled water - Because we are eco-friendly, purified water is available in an igloo style dispenser, not plastic water bottles.

We were so lucky to be able to see the whales before the end of the season. We saw them within the first hour. The tour guides were amazing and knowledgeable.

The snorkeling was amazing, we saw all kinds of fish, great coral reef, saw reef sharks and turtles, and dolphins too The snorkel sites are amazing and this is absolutely the way to do it. Emma and Sarah was so much fun, very professional, educational and you can tell they care very much about the marine world. they took great care of us. Highly highly recommend this. I am so glad we went with Ultimate for this. We had our college age kids with us, and this was one of everyones favorite parts of the trip.Beakissinger

Such an amazing experience with Ultimate Whale Watch and Snorkel! They know exactly what they are doing and have such great love and care for the humpback whales. Not to mention it was such an intimate experience with having no more than 12 on the boat. We were fortunate enough to get "mugged" by the whales. Being mugged is when the whales come and circle around the boat and pretty much put on an epic show. We saw a mama whale, with her baby and an escort male whale. Beautifully breaching and slapping their tales in the water. Showing off their strength and gracefully swimming so effortlessly in the ocean. This was an experience of a lifetime and would love to continue to come here on every visit. Not only were they so knowledgeable about the whales, they were also extremely careful whenever moving to each stop to make sure the whales weren't too close for us to disrupt them or harm them in any way. They also had some amazing banana bread with lolokai spread to put on top. It was definitely a treat. If I could give them more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Thank you for an amazing experience. We stayed in Lahaina for 6 days and took whale watching tours for 4 of them with different tour companies every time. Ultimate Whale Watch was by far the best. The naturalist knew so much about whale behavior and the captain did too. This allowed them to know when to stay and watch a whale or a group of whales and when to move on. We saw a competition pod, a full breach by an adult whale and a mother whale putting her baby whale through the paces (breaches, tail slaps, etc.). You absolutely have to use this company to see the whales when ou go to Maui.
