Very knowledgeable driver, really enhanced the experience- Udawalawe is beautiful anyway but you need a good safari driver to show all the wildlife you’d miss otherwise.

Happy hours tour is one of our top recommendations when visiting Sri Lanka. Danushka is the best taxi driver we could ever imagine. He showed us so many nice places, like a waterfall and shops for things we were looking for as well as local animals like water buffalos and iguanas alongside the road. We wish, we could have Danushka as our taxi driver for all time! We really had such a great time with him. The safari guide was also very friendly and professional. He showed us all animals living in the jungle, e.g. elephant families with calves. After the safari tour, we received a fresh passionfruit juice, which tasted amazing! All in all, we are so grateful for this experience. It was cheaper than average tours like this in Sri Lanka and 150% worth it!Amazing Safari, we saw a lot of different animals and the guide had a good command of English. We were staying at Green View Safari Resort who run this safari so was easy to book directly. Communication in advance was brilliant and the different options explained well. We opted for the 4h safari and it was excellent. Our guide/driver was lovely and an excellent spotter. I don’t know how he spotted some of the birds. We saw all kinds of amazing birds, crocodiles, water buffalo, jackals, monkeys and of course elephants. We saw so many elephants! Our driver was excellent at getting us to perfect viewing spots and we got some excellent close ups. He seemed to know where to go and we hardly saw another jeep which made the experience even better. I would 1000% recommend happy hours tours and make sure you stay at green view safari resort for the loveliest welcome and service.
