He had great energy, told great stories, and made it a great tour. He’s down to earth and is very accommodating to “go with the mood” of the tour. Highly recommend!!!Absolutely fantastic tour! Absolutely fantastic tour! We took the pick up from Paris, two day Normandy tour of Mont St Michel, the D-Day beaches and battlefields. The trip with Jozef as our guide was outstanding. His deep knowledge of both the medieval and WW2 history of the region saw us soak up all his fabulous stories and anecdotes at each location. He is a natural storyteller and so warm and cheerful. No dull history professor delivery on this tour! His local knowledge also saw us skip queues, find unique spots hidden off the beaten track and get lunch and dinner seats at busy restaurants ahead of the crowd! If you want to tailor your trip to meet your interests or focus more on certain things then Jozef is your guy. The 8 seater van is modern clean and super comfortable so travelling across the two days was very easy. I can’t recommend him and this tour company any higher. We will definitely be touring with them on our next trip back. They definitely go the extra mile for their customers.Jozef's private tour took us through the various locations of the D-Day campaign. Jozef's private tour took us through the various locations of the D-Day campaign. We saw the beaches as well as the country locations where paratroopers and gliders were dropped and the Allied launched their attacks. Jozef was very knowledgeable and included historical sites that other guides would probably skip. His company was able to suggest good hotels and restaurants. He was flexible and amenable to our schedule and what we wanted to prioritize. He was also an advocate in some situations where we needed to get in front of other tour groups. I traveled with some siblings/spouses. We all agreed this was a huge highlight in our trip to France. We highly recommend this company if you want to really see and experience Normandy and the surrounding area. You will be glad you did!The seven children of Walter Kelly were on a mission to find where our father landed at Normandy. The seven children of Walter Kelly were on a mission to find where our father landed at Normandy. Our tour guide Jozef Prihoda the owner of Private Tours knows the history of the beaches and the surrounding towns and made the D-Day Landings come alive for us describing the ships, the landing boats, the German artillery and defense, and the courage of the GIs. We could not have asked for a better guide for this 2-day trip. Jozef picked us up early in Paris and we rode very comfortably for the 3 hour trip. Jozef was very friendly and despite the seriousness of our mission and the horror of the invasion he was able to laugh when the crazy Kelly family joked around, and wipe a tear when we cried at discovering the monument to our Dad’s company, the 459th Amphibian Truck Company. We left the design of the tour to Jozef and couldn’t have been happier with our decision as he built our knowledge and understanding as we wound through many small towns on the way to the beach visiting significant sites, as well as numerous churches used by the allies and Germans along the way. Once at Normandy the battle seemed to truly come alive as we entered bunkers and walked the beaches including Omaha where our dad landed. Ending at the American Cemetery was another emotional high point with the significance of the sacrifice these brave young men and women made never clearer then when taps was played for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The Kelly family believes we could not have had a better tour guide and thank him so much for going out of his way to help us, and for understanding what was in our hearts and helping us to get to know our long passed dad better. We will never forget Jozef and to that end have already recommended him to others planning the same trip.Jozef and Deborah are amazing. If you do any tour of Normandy, this is who to do it with. Jozef and Deborah are amazing. If you do any tour of Normandy, this is who to do it with. Book directly with them! Jozef picked us up right in our hotel lobby. He was extremely knowledgeable. He knows something like 7 languages and is well-traveled which made the conversation fun and informative out to Normandy from Paris. Doing a private tour means you can spend more time where you want and we were actually even able to make it all the way to the British cemetery. We also did the German and American cemeteries. We highly recommend going inside the museum at the American cemetery-it was very moving. Jozef had great stories that brought everything to life for us and really made this a stand out part of our trip. Everything was fabulous and we can’t wait to book a wine tour with him next time!
