I can't say enough about the Two Day Trip to Luxor from Safaga Port tour. Cruise ship only offered day tours of Luxor and with a 3-hour drive (each way) from Safaga you would spend most of day on bus. I'm so happy I found Marsa Alam! They were very communicative and reachable no matter what time and time zone. Pick up from Port was easy and schedule was packed. Got to see Dendera Temple, which I understand is not usually included in tours. Evening included Light Show at Karnak Temple, which other tour companies charged extra for. Sonesta St. George, while dated, was right on the Nile. Wael, our tour guide, was the BEST! He and Muhammed, our driver, kept up entertained and informed. They even kept buying us water and fresh fruit. If you do this tour in Luxor ask for Wael! Marsa Alam offered an optional Hot Air Balloon ride very early on Day 2. At first I was going to pass to sleep..I am so glad I went. This was one of the best experiences I ever had. We were up in the balloon for possibly an hour and the views of Luxor and the Nile from above were spectacular. Overall, this was an amazing two days with the best tour guide & driver and company. I am already trying to figure out when I can get back to Egypt and will only reach out to Marsa Alam to help me explore
