If you’re visiting Italy, you MUST take Katia’s cooking class, no matter your level of cooking experience. We hand made pastas and learned multiple authentic Italian recipes in her family’s Tuscan estate. We met people from France, Germany and Italy and got to take home several excellent recipes you truly cannot find anywhere else. Katia’s family also runs an olive oil farm and we left with a few bottles of their extraordinary olive oil. To top it all off, we got to enjoy our own cooking and complimentary wine at a communal table with our new friends. Katia makes the entire experience fun and friendly, and her class ended up being one of our favorite memories from our entire trip. Definitely don’t leave Tuscany without giving this a shot!Katia and Fulvio were informative and charming. Our family of 10 spent an incredible afternoon at Il Vicariò. We are a family of five w/three young adults - 16, 19, and 21 who stayed engaged the entire time 3 hours that we cooked, ate and learned about this beautiful region. We had a great time making pasta from scratch, two sauces, appetizers, and a main course. The most important part of the experience wasn’t the recipes, even though we plan to make them, was for our kids to learn about the ingredients of Tuscany and why they distinguish it from other regions in Italy. We learned why the bread doesn’t have salt in it, how beans can make a creamy soup, what makes a Chianti Classico and other wonderful pieces of knowledge. This experience enriched our family and gave us a deeper appreciation for Tuscany. Grazie! We highly recommend the experience - plus it was fun!!This was a good introduction to Tuscan cuisine. It was better than I hoped. The dishes are simple and delicious. Cooking with Fulvio was a pleasure. I'm glad we went.

What a fantastic experience. Learned a lot. laughed a lot and ate such great food. Fulvio is a ball of fun and knowledge! Katia is so good in teaching the art of pasta making and cooking, We all had a turn at the various steps. Great olive oils. Delicious wine accompanied each course. The magnificent Tuscan valley of San Gimignano is outside their back door. What a view! There was such great conversations about Italy and their interest in where we were from. Fulvio had even been to Point Pleasant, NJ where we came from!!! Talk about a small world. You really should experience this course, It added so much to our trip and an even greater appreciation of the Italian food we enjoyed throughout our trip. Thank you, Katia. Thank you, Fulvio. Hope to see you on the Boardwalk in Point Pleasant soon.
