Overview
Abu Dabbab is one of the most famous dive sites in the Red Sea and of all of Egypt. It is one of the few places in the world where you can dive with the very rare and endangered Dugong aka the Sea Cow. In fact, there are two resident Dugongs in the Abu Dabbab bay named Dennis and Douglas. This dive site also features friendly giant Green Sea Turtles that you can swim with up close and personal. In the shallow water, it is not rare to spot the bizarre looking but completely harmless Guitar Shark.

What to expect
Itinerary
Our guide will pick you up at 6:00 am, depending in your hotel location, by an air-conditioned vehicle and whisk you away for your romantic day by the shore of Abu Dabbab. Snorkel over waters teaming with coral, reef fish and amazing marine life.
You can see here not only stunning corals and countless colored fish, but there is also a high chance to see many turtles in their natural habitat. Sometimes a dugong passes you by, a rare kind of sea cow that can be up to four meters long - a unique experience!
Enjoy a delicious lunch by the beach during the day and end your delightful adventure with a swim in warm clear waters at a beautiful white-sand beach. Plunge into the warm blue seas and discover a whole new world of breath-taking color and beauty. You can even be photographed underwater as you glide through a brilliant new world.
See the underwater world open up on this delightful morning of snorkeling. This marine activity is fun-filled for experienced snorkelers and beginners alike. Swim in the crystal clear waters and see a huge array of sea life.

Lunch and drinks were provided- Omar kept the drinks coming throughout the trip The snorkelling was out of this world, I was very nervous but Omar supported and encouraged me all the way to make sure I had the best experience - down to sharing all his knowledge and experience of the fish and how to get the best out of snorkelling Omar ensured we had front row comfy seats at the beach right by the sea - literally everything was thought out and planned Superbly Definitely take euros, dollars or pounds to the orange bay beach for refreshments Then to top the day off we had rides on the inflatable sofa and banana boat! What a fantastic experience!!! The team from Canary Tours are very professional and skilled people. They make your Excursions very magical and fun. We made lots of memories in Egypt with these guys!! Would definitely recommend them to any one!!

Been doing our trips with aladdin for years he has always looked after us and gone out of his way for me and my family. His team he now has a cannery are fantastic. My two girls love this trip aswell as the dolphin house

This isn’t my first experience with Canary Tours. I used them during both my visits to Egypt. I took my two teenagers along and we did dolphin house, turtle bay and quad biking. All 3 trips were well thought out and managed. The staff as always do a fantastic job and the safety of their group...
This isn’t my first experience with Canary Tours. I used them during both my visits to Egypt. I took my two teenagers along and we did dolphin house, turtle bay and quad biking. All 3 trips were well thought out and managed. The staff as always do a fantastic job and the safety of their group is paramount. We also received a WiFi box which was a great touch seeing as the hotel WiFi is rather patchy. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and I have done on numerous occasions. Having local people show you their country is by far a much better experience. All fully insured too.Tina08

What can I say.. we booked this trip for the kids to see the turtles and we wasn’t disappointed... Booking was easy we messaged canary tours and they instantly replied arranged to meet at hotel at a time suitable for us .. they arrived on time and gave us all the necessary information and took sizes for the flippers and asked about life jackets for the family. The bus arrived on time albeit early in the day so no lie in on that day .... the journey was pleasant in a air controlled mini bus with plenty of room and we stopped at the lovely coffee shop so kids could stretch legs and adults could get some delicious coffee. We arrived at the beach and we was shown to sun beds with parasol so kids could have shade if needed ... whilst we got the kids changed and applied sun cream the company brought cold drinks and all the snorkelling equipment needed ... we got kitted up and went for our 1st snorkel of the day ... we was very lucky as we found a turtle and Aladdin and Mahmoud even dived down with my daughters go pro to get some fantastic pictures and videos ... they took a large ring out with them which was useful when the little ones got tired from swimming so far out to see the turtles ... we spent quite a while in the water and before you knew it it was time for lunch .... Lunch was at a restaurant across the road which was a buffet lunch .. plenty of choices and even the pickiest child was full .. after lunch we headed back to the beach and we relaxed for a while whilst lunch settled during this time Aladdin and Mahmoud entertained the kids and even allowed the children to bury them in the sand which the children thought was hilarious and before you knew it it was back into the water for another snorkel .... More pictures with the turtles and it was time to head back to the beach to get changed ready for journey home. We stopped again at the coffee shop and was dropped off back at hotel in time for dinner. All in all it was a marvellous day and enjoyed by everyone right from the little kids to the adults who have never snorkelled before .. Mahmoud and Aladdin were patient and ensured everyone was safe in the water. My children are still talking about this trip 3 months later
